I never knew there was a Kholani at Tolichowki. Probably never paid attention. Is it opposite to the food court? Also, this BBQ dinner similar to a.l.a BBQ Nation and other copycats?

Have been a Kholani's Kitchen fan from 15 years or so and was a regular patron to their Abids/Boggulkunta branch ( 100 meters from the famous Pragati Idli) and those days during my college days we use to spend umpteen number of hours there and possibly one of the best Hyderabadi/Nizami food. I particularly used to like their Kheema biryani then.

Then, they opened in Banjara Hills. Went there once. Exorbitant pricing and taste not as good as the original outlet.

Good recall. Perhaps, will visit their abids branch sometime soon.

Avi Bhai, Kholani's is above Reliance Auto Zone at Toli Chowki. This falls on your left, when you are coming from Galaxy Theatre/Gachibowli towards Mehdipatnam. This is way before the infamous Toli Chowki X Roads.

The Clay Pot is still closed and will reopen in 2-3 days time.

Hi folks,

My first post in this thread. Am a major foodie, like to try out the new restaurants / cuisines all the time.

I am surprised to read bad reviews about Khaan Saab, GVK One. It is one of my favorite places and I found the food to be excellent and not at all expensive. However I never tried a veggie dish. So cannot say anything about vegetarian part of the menu.

Isda Thai

Had dinner at Isda Thai, above VW showroom near KBR park, on Saturday night. The ambiance for the outdoor seating was very nice in the breezy evening, but a little more lighting would have been appreciated. The waiters had to give us (and a few other patrons on other tables too) "flashlights" to read the menu card.

The choice is nice and typical thai, with most dishes coming with a choice of veg/chicken/tofu/prawns/fish. We already had our starters at a fast food place earlier, so we directly ordered the main course. We had chicken Red Thai curry, Hot & Sweet stir fry vegetables with chicken and vegetable Thai fried rice. The Thai red curry was tasty as always and just the right amount of spicy, letting us enjoy the taste without burning our taste buds. The Stir Fry veggies and chicken was absolutely delicious with the hotness and sweetness inter mingling perfectly to give it an almost umami kind of tempting taste. The thai fried rice lived up to our expectations and was better (and different) than the typical chinese fried rice that we normally have.

The bill for 3 pax came to around Rs. 950 including Service Charge and VAT. Overall a very enjoyable experience with a nice ambiance and nice service.
