Hola Folks
After almost a year of contemplation and multiple missed appointments we made it happen today finally.
With the long weekend around and nothing to do, last Wednesday I get a call from Rudra asking whats up for the weekend ?
My reply : Nothing !!
Rudra : Why don't we go and do a photoshoot of our cars, you decide the location and I am in.
Me : Ok cool.
We both agree on Hesserghatta.
Call Mahesh and he is game and is all enthu about it. Somewhere deep inside of me I know this friend of mine will back out. I kept pressing myself to believe the fact yes Maggie will make it this time around.
Finally the weekend is here and we catch up at
Nandini on New BEL Road. Vikram and myself meet up 1st and while we are done with the 1st round of beer Rudra joins us with his colleague Deena( hope I spelt it right) and driver Ramalingam(?) .
At the table the usual talk is about cars and rallies. Well what else can motor heads speak about ? We finish up with lunch and I see the Amby.
Rudy my compliments to you for that awesomely maintained car. With 12 years of rain and sunshine , the car still gleams. Yes Rudra said it was painted 12 years back, I was like awwww

.
We move on and decide to take the interior road via Jalahalli East to reach Hesserghatta which turned out to be a blunder. I need to bang myself up for that since the road was in shambles.
I don't know how many times would have Vikram and Rudra cursed me.Sorry chaps was unintentional, I had no clue the road was so bad.
We finally reach Hesserghatta and decide to drive to the exact same location where
Sanjeev(hellcat) had shot
Spider77's baleno.
Deena and Ramalingam headover to My Native Village to buy water and in the meantime Rudra has already decided where the cars needs to be parked and shot.
Rudra gets his gear and starts off with giving his driver directions on how to clean the car. All done Rudy is busy shooting.
I managed to click a few too.
Dont expect wonders out of my pics, since all were shot handheld without a tripod.
Then why this thread ? Well to me it looks like Rudra has gotten a few excellent shots and as usual I am sure they would be the best.
Let the single malt flow and see the man wield his magic wand. Until then a few pics from my end, please dont expect much coz am a noob when it comes to shooting pictures of cars unless its sportscar photography.

The best things come last , so here is what I learnt.
1 - Drive and drive till you find the right location.
2 - Ensure that you find a location such that no reflections from the surroundings fall on your car.
3 - Carry a tripod always and shoot in AP mode.( I shot programmed mode since I never carried a tripod)
4 - Carry a can/bottle of water to clean the side of the car which you intend to shoot.
I hope the man has his single malt soon and posts his pictures.Ciao for now.
