Job query

Guys this a a small query regarding Oracle. My friend recently got through all the technical rounds. But the HR is delaying the offer letter saying that the approval is awaited which comes all the way from Larry Allison's Office . And that it takes time.

It already has been almost one month now. Does oracle take this long to issue the offer letters?

Should he wait or move on?

I really think Larry Eillison's got a lot of other better work to do. Either your friend is the number 1 crucial factor in Oracle's success, or they're scamming you

Is it "the" Oracle or is it for Sun which now under Oracle ?
If its for Oracle there should't be any issues, but if its for Sun there might be some delay. That is what my friend at Sun told me a while back. Company merger and its legal something...

EDIT:

Larry Allison's Office
I think the HR is getting little carried away. But yes as I stated there was some delay, not sure if its still the case.

I dont think Larry's office is very far, just a few steps away from the 50" Plasma screen (thru video conferencing, time for austerity plans).

That made my day. Thanks

Your friend is sitting on his rear waiting for an offer letter for 1 month?

Larry Ellison approves it or not, your friend is a mighty optimist. Unless like RedLiner said he is that crucial for Oracle.
