NIP,

Good pictures, the first one looks awesome, ready to STRIKE!! Crouching Tiger sorts!

How come the car is speckless in the second pic, but has some leaves etc on the foot step? just a cleaning miss?

getsurya thanks for the compliment the car is actually quite dirty...i guess you cannot make out in the pics. You can see a brown sheen of dust on the front bonnet.

NIP, man, brutal scorpio! Definitely one of the best on t-bhp!

How I wish they didn't put the chromed sabre tooth grill on the new ones... :(

I remember you picked up your Scorp in 2008 just around/ a bit after when I got mine - I remember you asking whether the LX 2.6 Crde was worth it.Mine is identical but a different colour - same bonnet scoop, tower tail lamps/reflectors, similar alloys, the older radiator grille (non-refreshed and without the silver tuning fork in the middle) etc.
Its only in 2009 (around April or so) that they made the 2.2 Mhawk the standard engine across all variants and left the prices also pretty much untouched.
That is correct shankar, i must thank you for the advice that you shared at the time when i was buying the Scorpio.

I remember feeling a little cheated when the prices stayed the same for the 2.2 version but now having driven both i feel the only add-on im missing is ABS; the rest im fine with.. A vehicle the size of a scoprio can always use a bigger engine also im dead against the W grill with chrome on it and the mhawk stickers (though my sales guy told me they can be taken off).

In other news my scorpio clocked 25,000 today enroute to work

cheers
!!

hey!
yes even i felt a bit displeased at the fact that had I waited one more year Id probably have got myself the new engine.
But, I prefer my LX 2008's looks any day in comparison with the 2009 LX refresh.
I also would love to have ABS and Airbags in the Scorp (also 4x4)
You seem to have done a lot of driving - I ve also recently crossed 25K Kms but I ve taken a while longer than you to reach that number!
Cheers and have fun with the Scorp!

Raaaj! Try jugaad option! Tie some pillows to the steering wheel! All time air-bags! You can even catch a wink during those long waits at mumbai's signals ;-)

Afterall what is an M&M without some jugaad!

Jus kiddin folks. Some light hearted banter.

LOL... now thats a new tech- all time air bags! developed not by volvo, not by mahindra, not by bosch- but by our very own Red Liner!

btw, more than airbags, whats more important in mumbai is HORN! how will i press the horn with the pillow tied to the steering?
