My personal advice is the spot lights look fab but, it may do more harm as it seriously curtails airflow,me thinks.
Airflow ?I thought the scoop on the hood was a part of the air flow thingy.

but i also feel that with the huge vents in the bumper & the air scoop on the bonnet, it wont make much of a difference, although i was not willing to take any chances!
From a fellow Scorp' owner eh ? Ok it works like this for me, the scoop acts as a perfect entry for air into the engine bay. From the looks of it , it sure has a purpose and hence its there. Am sure the R&D folks at M&M would have considered this only after realizing the fact that front grill wouldn't have provided enough air to the engine bay. What say ?

As long as you honestly post a pic or two, there's no reason to get thrown out!

Here 's mine

This is my first post in this forum... So here i go..

We took the delivery of a new scorpio VLx Refresh last week.. After owning the good ol 2.6 scorpio for 6 years and driving it for more than a lakh kms, when it came to selecting a new car, the scorpio itself was the only thing that we could think off..

some pics attached taken at the time of delivery.. More to follow soon.

I liked the new red-black interiors..

I'd practically made up my mind to install an amp and a sub right after the delivery, but after I checked out the stock HU and speakers, it seems to be pretty good after all.. The front speakers are very good, the rear ones are just ordinary.... Has anyone done ICE upgrades with the existing HU of the new scorpio?

the air scoop on the bonnet feeds air only to the intercooler. its purpose is different.

I graduated to this from using a sedan and very well understand what is the need for enough cool air in the engine bay.I must agree that it is to cool the intercooler, however my knowledge with the Common Rails is pretty limited for now so peace .

Hey, that does not sound friendly!
What Raj said is correct. 'Engine bay' does not cover it!
Also, Common Rail has nothing to do with intercoolers. Intercoolers are for turbochargers, which can be found in non-common-rail engines too.

Apologies if it sounded rude to you.In laymans terms the engine bay is the location where the engine is housed. I was referring to the same and this is the same place where the intercooler is placed. It's purpose is to reduce the temperature of the air going into the engine, aint it ? Correct me if I am wrong.
Also when I mentioned Common Rails , I was talking of the current gen diesels.

Ok lets get back to posting pics I don't want to be infracted.

its ok anup sir. i think my post was misunderstood.

anyways, as riju said, let end this 'debate' which was never a debate in the first place!

@ riju: dont worry about an infraction buddy. Mods wont punish anybody for such reasons.

a slight correction, intercooler's job is to reduce the temperature of air going into the turbocharger, not the engine.

LOL, no! Raj, the intercooler cools down the air which the turbo has pressurized and thus raised the temperature of! And anyway the air will 'eventually' be going into the engine.

So here's another pic of the dummy scoop Scorpio!
