vedagiri1983- Too neat a Safari you own, nice to see the first model safari kept so tidy.

TheArun- Congratulations, i'am happy for your buy, get rid of the bonnet scoop, it'll not be too much of a trouble repairing that portion. Do things slowly to get this black beauty back to shape and to your liking. I feel the older tail lights suit that model better than the later model ones. Just my suggestion.

adc- You are truly a mad man, too spooky to hear your trials.

Just want to let everyone know that Shreyasma and Vedagiri were instrumental in me getting the SAFARI. I've started a new log, its going to run into pages, will complete it over the weekend and post it. Its going to be my tribute to my two newest friends from T-bhp.

Before that, want to acknowledge the sacrifice Shreyasma made. He was first offered my SAFARI, he almost bought it, but then gave it up so that I could have it. It was a wonderful gesture, and one that I will be thankful forever because I know how difficult it is to find a good beast.

And Vedagiri has an awesome story behind his beast. It was owned by the CEO of SAP Labs. The guy bought the costliest SAFARI and paid top dollar to retain it in pristine condition. The best thing that happended to the SAFARI is that it got sold to Vedagiri in whom it found the ideal passionate owner. More than him being lucky to have the vehicle, its the vehicle that is lucky to have him.

Painting a white Safari to Red is an easy task and also pocket friendly.

Dont worry about getting it done, do PM me if you want any assistance, my painter would be more than glad to be at your service

Must say Bengaluru has now the most number of Safari's on the Forum

Guys now some pictures would do a lot good to this Thread...Start Shooting.

Rs. 760/- bill for the first 5 services, that'll stretch up to 25 k kms..

Just enjoy your ride, dont worry about the Safari maintenance, its a real rugged vehicle and easy on your pocket. Just make sure you have the extended warranty.

Pavan,

You looked at only part of the sentence. Heave maintenance is for the BLACK colour.

Cheers..

hi kvs,

I got a black 2.2 as well, I use "Turtle Hard Shell Wax" with Chamois leather for application. No problems atleast for 2 weeks, just spray water other days and the grime just slides off!!!!

Cheers

Even I was thinking of a meet in Bangalore. I would definitely be there, and could beg VEDAGIRI to be there too. I'm sure KADAM would come. Lets see what everyone says

The more you travel the more it gets addictive. Talking about exploration found out the proverbial "secret beach" in the middle of the forests after a bumpy, undercarraige scraping journey for 2 hours through grasslands and undergrowths.

It sure was spooky at times, especially the night journeys inside the forest with a village guide - and he having no idea how much space a safari takes and showing roads that are at most cleared for walking.
