Hi KrisSree,

Does the new Safari now come with Geolandars? That would be a welcome change!

Cheers,
Adi

Hi KrisSree - Nice pictures. Enjoy the drives.
One more question : I was told that the GX comes only in dual colour. Did you get your panels painted Black ?

Cheers

re: All Tata Safari Owners - Your SUV Pics here

@AVR - Nope.We are not so lucky that the guys back in the Ranjangaon plant start delivering Safari with Yokos. They come with the stock Dueler. Got it replaced with Yokos for obvious reasons.

@jkrishnakj - Yes. GX comes with Dual tone and got it painted black since never had a liking for it.

More details my ownership thread!

Congrats KrisSree. Welcome aboard and drive safe.

I was told by the SA at Concord Bangalore that the GX also comes in single colour. He mentioned that though the default is dual color, if you specify a single colour they can deliver it for you.

I really don't know why TATA want to do a facelift on the SAFARI, this vehicle is like Rekha, time does not dent its looks

Spotless! How did you manage to keep off the bugs? After a day's hot sun, the bug is so glued & dried that even a high pressure water wash is not helping. Planning to do a teflon coating.

As usual I am enjoying the dose of loads of photos. Those photos from Rajasthan lake is amazing. Liked the background too.

There were bugs on whole windscreen while returning Bangalore from Rameshwaram. Evening time after 6 - 7:30 PM number of bugs increases on road exponentially.

What I do whenever I am on long drive I used to keep water and news paper with me. Around 7 - 7:30PM I stop somewhere and clean windshield and headlights with water and news paper. Otherwise it would be very difficult for night drive and If I leave, it will stuck for forever.

Also my car washer guy at apartment is expert and he used to clean car everyday. Either he wash or wipe with damp cloth everyday. I generally do not park car on hot sun.

As per many Teflon coating rarely help and if you park your car on hot sun then it is big no no. Whole body coating will crack and it will appear worst. Please check with GTO he had similar experience.

3M coating is which many of guys at TeamBHP recommends.

Bye Bye

Bye Bye my tusted friend, we have been through a lot together, but I guess further on you will see a different part of India and make others your own.

Wish we could have been together longer, but it's hard seeing you age and as I age myself require to move down from a Stomping elephant to a galloping horse. Hope your new owner love you and care for you as I have.

10 years - 170,000 kms.

Your memories and our time together will be with me forever.

The Grand Old Man moves to UP gave custody to it's new owners yesterday.

Yep, Even today after owning a Aria I still drool over the latest Safari Advts, and keep updated on the improvements to the Safari.

Safari touches one is a way no other car can, an owner will either love it or hate it but one just cannot be indifferent to the Safari. Can't imaging owning any other car in place of the Safari in those years, nothing else would have done the job the sufficently well. It is noticed and it does make its own path on the time stamp of life.
