Seems the IPL staff has been following this thread! They have changed the fonts now.

Yes, even I noticed it today

The other thing I find missing is the number of overs bowled, which is shown intermittently. I think its a lot more important metric than each batsmans individual score which is a permanent display

I'd like to believe that I may have had something to do with it.

That's something that I'd noticed too. It was baffling!

Then you have to sponsor us to a match in Bangalore

BTW, reg. that bowling over status, it does appear in middle pane intermittently
but grossly inadequate - they can use different colored markers in the graphic which shows the bowling stats (runs in each ball in the last 6-8 balls). Overall, the graphics & coverage in general (like, the replays, runup during bowling is cut, etc - may be for commercial purposes) is not up to the mark this time, I feel.

Production values are not as good as before. Even the sound of the ball hitting the middle of the bat actually sounds as if the bat is broken or the ball has hit the stumps.

The Brezza went to Warner for his 'glam shot' which was supposed to be some hit over midwicket for six. I don't remember watching that shot. I didn't watch most Hyderabad matches.

Thought it is a joke from a satire site, but it is for real - after Summer IPL, now brace yourself for Winter IPL : BCCI announces mini IPL for September

The BCCI has decided to host a shortened version of the IPL overseas every September, starting this year, branding it the "mini IPL" or "IPL overseas".

And this sounds like a bad joke to start. They didn't bother to think about the dilution of the IPL brand, the health and rest of the players, timings, logistic issues, or anything else. I mean they obviously must have considered all of these points, but the thing went ahead despite all these factors. Shows their greed for money.
Now if a lacklustre mini IPL is to be followed by the full event, won't the excitement get drowned?
And I didn't even mention the overdose of T20 that this event creates yet either.
The bilateral international series which seemed boring and repetitive for years now suddenly start seeming rare and exciting.

Will reserve my top 3 prediction till i see all teams playing one match each. With so many squad changes and constant coming and going of players it's hard to keep track which team gels more.

re: The IPL Thread (Fantasy game league details on pg 238)

With Bangalore Team, Kohli will be out for 5 to 6 matches, KL Rahul out of the tournament and ABD has a back injury scare.

Moderate results, I have no expectation of Bangalore making it to the Eliminators stage.
