Team-BHP - TVM - Swift totalled on Kawdiar Road

Its a 6lane road for abt 1.5-2kms in the heart of the city. And since TVM isn't all that populated, this becomes the ideal road for all the speed freaks to rip their machines.

It was a VXi... And after someone sees the car, they will know why its got a very good safety rating.

Must be a Zxi. Do the airbags go off if the seatbelts aren't fastened? That could be one way for a nose to break.

The driver was not wearing seatbelts and the car did not have airbags... To make things worse, rumors are that he was high!

Whats special with SRS airbags?

Doesn't SRS stand for supplementary restraint system?

If the seat belt was fastenened or not the air bags will blow up in case of a collision, atleast in the Swift, other cars though have a system where the seatbelt is not fastened the airbags dont blow up.

The Innova has got very effective crumple zones. It will absorb a lot of energy. But the fate could've been different for the Swift driver if it was some other vehicle in the place of Innova.

Why i say so is because i have seen in accidents involving Innova, the Innova crumples a lot than you think it should. And a couple of these accidents were with a Zen and a 800.

He was lucky. Imagine the scenario if he has jumped across and ramped into the people at the bus stand?

rj, it was damn crowded and both lanes were kindof blocked with police and people. Also parking as a problem.

A similar incident happened almost near this place 2 months back. A guy toppled a Fiesta ! I was impressed as how he did it and that he manage to take an auto to go a hospital. Also, the car looked almost intact. A case of drink and drive.

Also saw kids doing stunts while one brat was filming sitting behind another bike. A youtube video? Oh and seeing this a nut case in Yezdi tried to do a wheelie !

Suggestion: Police to have road blocks like what one has in Bangalore.

so, is swift a safe vehicle or was he left of with a broken nose because he had it with a innova?

either way, he should thanks all his ******* dam stars or whatever - first for walking out alive and second for not taking the life of anyone else.

When did this happen? I was at Kowdiar till around 4.30 near the palace gates.

Yes police should take some action to curb the reckless driving/riding on this road.

The current show off trend here on this road has started only after the CCD started their business here is what me think.
