Lewis Hamilton hammers the Liana around the Top Gear track!!!

Just finished watching the latest Top Gear episode and trust me, that Hamilton can drive.

Here are some of the lap times done by the F1 drivers in previous episodes.

1. Nigel Mansell - 1:44.6 (dry)
2. Jenson Button - 1:44.7 (dry)
3. Damon Hill - 1:46.3 (dry)
4. Mark Webber 1:47.1 (wet)

Now Hamilton had to drive on a wet track as well, which meant that he was basically competing with Webber.

But to everyone's disbelief (including the Stig who did a 1:44.4 in the dry), Lewis lapped the track in an unbelievable 1:44.7!!! Which means he was as quick as Jenson Button in the dry!!

So, TG has invited him again, to come and try his hand at driving the Liane around the track when it's dry.

There was oil on the track too, along with water.
To top it all he was singing and humming to himself while driving.
He did it effortlessly.
Considering that the stig knows the track like the back of his paws, this is an achievement.

Repeat Posts My a Moda

Btw I wonder why they use the Liana for bench marking all these runs? I mean is it because

- Its the worst Handler
&\or
- Its a 5 door family car which people normally buy.

dont know but liana looks so horribly ugly (no harsh feelings for Suzuki & Maruti lovers).
I cant understand why choose this car for benchmark is it the Best in the category or is it the best one in handling ? tyres are soo skinny it looks dangerous
