How to do one-off Bitcoin / Crypto payments for online purchases?

I am buying a particular car tuning/configuration software, and the seller accepts only Bitcoin / Ethereum as payment (50 Euro equivalent).

Now I do not want to go into the hassle of opening an account on crypto exchange, create a crypto wallet, KYC documents submission and then transfer bitcoin to the seller, just for a one-off transaction.

I searched for ways to do this but unfortunately didn't find any easy way out. What I was hoping for was a solution / service that charged my credit card and sent the bitcoin directly to the wallet address I specified. Or someone who has bitcoins and transfers those to the seller's wallet for a small fee and the total money can be paid to that person using UPI etc.

Anyone faced such scenarios or has ideas on how to handle such one-off crypto transactions?

There a number of 'agents' who can do this for you. You can pay them cash or via an online method and they'd transfer Bitcoin to your seller's account.

They can be found on Telegram, FB groups etc in your area. But the best way to find them is to ask around if you have access to such people or friends of such people.

Also, 50 euros is a tiny amount and such agents might or might not be interested in such a transaction. If you indeed happen to use the service of an agent be sure of doing it face to face.

Better would be to ask any known or a friend who owns some Bitcoins and get it done through him.

I'd be suspicious of a seller who only accepts cryptos though.

I have some cryptos including Bitcoin and would have been happy to help but we never know what kind of person we are transferring the Bitcoins to. If the transaction happens with a wrong person we unnecessarily land up in a soup.

Fully agree with Fuldagap. A reputed seller has absolutely no reason to accept ONLY crypto as a form of payment. The crypto space is highly unregulated and is notorious for scams. A 50 euro payment is minuscule enough to not warrant any major action against them and it's substantial enough for the scammer to make decent money with little to no risk, provided they scam enough people. My advice would be to avoid this seller and look for other options.

Re: How to do one-off Bitcoin / Crypto payments for online purchases?

It's always better to do a thorough research before making payments to merchants with crypto, however, if you feel or find out the seller is genuine and would like to buy some crypto, you can try out Bisq. They don't require you to do KYC, and FIAT payment methods such as IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, and UPi is supported as well (you'll have to pay a bit off premium). The icing on the cake is that Bisq provides you with a non custodial wallet where you're the custodian of your funds.

In regards to the seller, do check if you they have any other payment methods other than ETH and BTC, as more often than not the fees fluctuate and the cost may vary.

I would be vary of any seller that only accepts crypto. They ask for payment in this way because it would keep them untraceable and make refunds impossible.
