Re: The only thing more important than your to-do list is your TO-BE list | Yay or Nay

Very intriguing topic. I have often heard and seen to a certain extent that we tend to become rigid in thoughts and actions as we get older.

I am trying to follow few things to pre-empt this kind of a behaviour like

1. When you are out with friends/family on a trip or a day outing, be flexible in terms of food/hotels/stays/places to visit. If people want to take a lead onto something, let them. It helps me understand their lifestyles, POV's and general attitude towards life. I absorb what I feel is good and discard the rest.

2. Be liberal in praising someone if they have achieved something in life or when they look good(dress ,haircut etc). Good words are hard to come by these days. A praise or two would definitely make their day happier

3. No need to have an opinion on everything, either for or against. Its perfectly Ok not to take side. That itself is taking a side . Many people look at this as weakness/being diplomatic but I tend to look at this as a strength since you are able to assess both the pros and cons

4. When faced with difficult situations, I would not go as far as to say "Keep Smiling". Instead I would look at it as a part of growing up and being able to handle difficulty.

5. Make More Money- Having Money cannot guarantee happiness but not having money guarantees unhappiness

6. Enjoy Good Quality of Life- I have learnt this online from @GTO,@shankar.balan and @V.Narayan and few offline friends. For the amount of hard work we put in, we deserve a good life with few materialistic things. It can be a car, a nice perfume or even a good vacation
