On the registration website, I don't see option to upload address proof. It asks only passport first and last page and photo. Where to upload address proof? Or is passport sufficient as address proof?

Yes, the address mentioned on the passport last page is sufficient.

Thanks. I submitted the application. Hopefully the processing is quick as I have an upcoming international travel coming Monday and I can make use of it to give biometrics at airport counter.

I was of impression till now that you can get the biometrics done separately, even if you are not travelling by visiting the airport.
Confusing since FRROs also are mentioned as part of enrollment center.

Application is processed and approved by Mid Feb but I finished my travel by then. So it takes around 2 weeks for processing. I am not sure what they do for 2 weeks.

My next travel is planned around May and will look forward to give biometrics at that time.

Re: Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Programme by the Govt. of India

Guys, quick question!

I had appointment for family enrolment at nearby FRRO scheduled 2 days ago which they missed, do I need to reschedule or can they just walk-in?

FRRO was anyway not crowded last time I visited.

Let me know if anyone has any experiences!

Re: Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Programme by the Govt. of India

I got my Biometric done for fast track immigration. I was travelling to Thailand last week, so it was an opportunity, the airport was Mumbai. The complete process is done in 1 minute, there was no one in the queue.

Thanks to this thread, i applied online sometimes in Feb and my application was approved in 2 weeks time. The gentlemen at biometric counter did ask for the approval email and tracking number, so please keep it handy.

The FTT biometric counter is near the business class immigration (right most corner). There are 4 automated counters (White frame) i could see at the Mumbai airport for fast track immigration, which were expectedly deserted.

Don't have personal experience, however have noticed an option in the login page to reschedule the appointment, you can give that a try.

Unless there is a big policy change, enrolment for FTTI will be carried out (due to national security reasons) only within the FRRO premises or in the Immigration area inside the International terminal. The reason is that the enrolment package (hardware and software) is deemed to be highly sensitive and to be kept in a strong silo.

I am also guessing GoI is not keen to unnecessarily encourage enrolment for people not actually travelling abroad or planning to in the near future. This is good in a way that the platform stabilizes and organically grows, instead of being swamped from day one.

Next steps are to allow selected other country passport holders to access the FTTI gates with simultaneous reciprocity for Indian passport holders through their version of FTTI. Singapore has been touted as a pilot candidate.

All in all, have already used it for 3 round trips. Excellent initiative and am all for it. Saves my passport pages too!

Re: Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Programme by the Govt. of India

Had created my profile and updated details on 8- Mar - 25.
Received my processing confirmation mail on 20-Mar-25.

Had mentioned location as Bangalore. Seems like its taking more time compared to what was mentioned here earlier, could be because more people are enrolling since airport supporting the same is increased.

Anyway, my next international trip is some 2 months from now. So additional time was not a concern. Will submit my biometrics during the next trip and update here.

Re: Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Programme by the Govt. of India

Interesting scheme - very tempted to try it for myself and family. Especially for my wife once she gets her OCI. Delhi immigration has at times taken over 2 hours for her. If this can speed it up, then brilliant. If it helps replicate the speed and convenience of Digi Yatra to international travel into and out of India, then that's fantastic.

What I find interesting is this seems to afford the convenience and speed that those with biometric passports were able to avail of when using electronic gates on arrival in UK or European airports. I'd always looked at those gates with envy. It was also why I'd hoped for ages that India too would introduce biometric, chip embedded passports. It seems with this FTI-TTP, India is kind of circumventing the need for that. Which is still a bummer if it means Indians have to use the old fashioned slow queues abroad. I take it that the govt is just going to keep kicking the can down the road as far as chip embedded passports are concerned? I wouldn't even mind paying a bunch extra for it, just for the convenience. But you can't have a two tier ordinary passport system for citizens (doubt any country has that) so that put paid to the idea.

Oh wow, sweet! So it is being rolled out, just with a very localised beta test phase I guess. I hadn't seen or heard any news on this front and assumed it was quietly shelved.

Rule of 2 applies, guess whatever cookies track this webpage served up this reddit link with a photo of the rare chip enabled Indian passport!

I wonder if travellers from out of state are going to Nagpur or Bhubaneshwar to get these new passports. Is that allowed?

Very much allowed since 2018. However, it adds some time due to the requirement of local police verification at the stated residential address.

Re: Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Programme by the Govt. of India

Done 4 round trips via Delhi airport using Fast Track gates. Breeze, absolutely love it. Saves time no doubt. My biggest nightmare is always getting the passport damaged during manual stamping. One of my previous passport got damaged when the immigration officer placed the boarding pass with fresh ink right on the front page and damaged the photo.
