What a shot in the arm for US cricket, hopefully this will lead to some more of US nationals to take up the game as well and spread the awareness.

With this they have also automatically qualified for 2026 T20 World cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka.

The US team is really enjoying this World Cup. However, I doubt they will advance beyond the Super 8 stage. Mostly, you will find Asian people, particularly Indians, supporting the US team. There is very little proper US crowd presence in the stadiums.

On a side note, I wish more countries would take up cricket and start playing. Having the World Cup played between at least 20-30 nations would be better than just 8-9. As more nations begin to enjoy this game, it would create more buzz around the world.

It also has a commercial angle to it. New generation is not as much crazy for cricket as the older generation was. This clearly is ringing the alarm bells in the circles. In my opinion, ICC is trying to tap new markets for the game to keep the cash coming in future. With T20 in the US, they are trying to test the depth of water.

Another game abandoned. Seems like everything is going wrong for ICC this world cup. First the big teams crashing out in group stages thereby losing big chunk of viewership. And now Florida weather cancelling out games.

Namibia vs England is in danger too. Toss is delayed as there are puddles on outfield due to rain. In case match doesn't happen Scotland will progress and England will be eliminated. This is gonna be disaster for ICC if it happens.

On a different note, watching IRE vs PAK and realised ICC should bring back home and away jersey kind of rule which they had during 2019 WC. I think 90% of teams have Green,Blue colored jerseys and that's it

Gary should resign. He has a legacy of winning World cup with India and we still love and appreciate him for that. Shouldn't work with a team who doesn't care about him. Pak board and it's team have become a laughing stock now. I pity their fans who keep supporting them.

Anyways, just saw the video of Indian players playing volleyball at the beach. This is the team bonding teams should have irrespective of win or loss.

Moments like these are what keep defining and redefining world cricket for me. Rashid and Gurbaz are two players who could hypothetically knock on any team's door and be welcomed with open arms.

Well done Afghanistan, you made my day. Now I just hope that India beat Australia and kick them out. I always feel that you have to stop Aussies before semis. It’s near impossible to stop them in semis & finals. Their game just reaches a whole new level & probably their experience of winning so many trophies in the past helps them to handle the pressure better than other teams.

This win of Afghanistan over Australia has really opened up Super 8's Group 1 which was looking predictable till yesterday. I really hope India and Afghanistan put up winning performance in their next match to send Australia packing from the tournament, who couple of days back were looking forward to dump England out from group stage.

So,
First 6am match I watch this tournament and this happens. Afghanistan is my favorite team after India so naturally I was supporting them big time. To win against Aussies after a Cummins hattrick and Maxwell threat is so pleasing. Especially after their loss in WC23.

Now, All we need to do is defeat Aussies on Monday. I am sure Afghanistan will win against Bangladesh which will result in Australia ouster from tournament. That will be excellent if it happens.
