I guess you get subscribed to whichever thread you reply in.

Guys, just go to edit options on the left of your screen in the user CP & change the 'Default Thread Subscription Mode' to 'do not subscribe'.

Thanks E_L This should all set this issue. For some reason setting was sunscribe by default although in the past it was don't subscribe

RTech: Thanks. I have taken your suggestion and done the changes to Don't subscribe and saved the changes too. Will wait and see the if i'am receiving the default mails.

I didnt want to open a new thread for this one. I came across this rather strange thing today when I was browsing the gallery section. How is it possible that someone can have their date of last upload as
1st January 1970 ?

Guys,

The temporary fix worked only for a short while. As of 18th August am facing the same problem. Even though have chosen and saved Do Not Subscribe earlier.

It seems there is some glitch in the software.

I have changed some settings right now, and the problem is hopefully solved. You should not be receiving any more emails for threads, except for those that you have chosen a subscription for.

I got thread cubscription emails twice last week , though my default setting was "Do not subscribe", however, have deletd the not intentionally subscribed threads now.

For those using Gmail can avail to simple work around called Filters

Go to settings and then click on Filters tab.
Here you can select that if email comes from Team-BHP then apply label of your choice and then delete it or archive it.

I regularly subscribe to threads I am replying to. And have chosen to archive incoming mails after applying label.
So that my inbox remain clutter free and by clicking on Team-BHP filter I get all Team-BHP mails.

Those using Outlook cna go to Tools/ Rules and Alerts
Others can lookup in Help in your email client/service for setting filters/rules

Here is a snapshot of my filter
