Re: Berger "Express" Painting Review | Bangalore

Just used Berger paints for a rented flat of mine, surely not express in any way since they took 4 days to complete an empty flat with just 4 rooms ( no ceiling). They were professional, charged about 18k which included scrapping + 2 coats of paint. I got a much higher quote from Nippon paints, and i could have easily got it done under 10k with some local painters, but was apprehensive of the quality and reliability since i dont live in that society, hence monitoring would have been an issue.

I talked to an Asian Paints Sales rep who gave a quote for repainting our Apartment building, and mentioned about these issues. His response was "Though Asian Paints collects the money from the customer, we give the contract to a local painting contractor, who in turn gives the subcontract to some local painters. So we do not have direct control over this (nor are we bothered, it's not our responsibility).

Well mine told they would give it to a sub contractor but everything would be handled professionally. So much for professionalism. No Responsibility, nothing. They ended up doing more damage. But I got experience at a very very high cost. A lot clothes and shoes ruined and things broken. Just thinking about it makes me angry. I got 50k deduction and kicked them all out before they could finalize all their work. My patience ran out.
