Re: What is your favorite Anime?

Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura (Netflix)

Had watched Baki few years ago but have not watched Kengan Ashura but i could fathom what i was getting into here

Just an hour of crazy over the top fights with over the top explanations

Reminded of old days of Bloodsport.

Good fun. Now to watch Kengan Ashura.

Re: What is your favorite Anime?

Kengan Ashura (Netflix)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9058134/

"A timid old man is summoned by his chairman to become the manager of Tokita Ohma, a highly skilled gladiator who only cares about fighting and winning in the Kengan matches."

If you like over the top martial arts then this is the anime to watch! Epic arena fights, Crazy voiceovers and a linear simple story arc.

4/5

Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf

Avoid at all costs. Just a boring anime in every aspect.

2/5

I am a newbie on Team-BHP and currently I am 19, I am happy that i became a member in just a single try.

I started watching Anime 2 years ago and have watched a lot of them till now, I love the storylines and animation and everything, it hurts when someone refers to Anime just as ''Japanese Cartoons'', they are much more than just cartoon.

Well coming to the topic, tell me what are some of your favorite Animes. (its ok if you don't want to give a long explanation, just name the Anime)

Starting with me, my favourites are "One Piece" and "Naruto". Though I have watched lots of Anime I absolutely love these 2 and to anyone new here these 2 anime have 1000+ and 700+ episodes respectively with each episode being approx 20 mins.

Well there are many other Anime's I love as well like 'Demon Slayer' for its animation (have to praise ufotable studios for such great efforts) and many others, but these were my words and now do tell me about your favorites too.
My favorite anime is Area 88, a short series about mercenary fighter pilots serving in the fictional kingdom of Aslan. It also has a 3 hour long OVA and a over 88 issues Manga which tells more about this strange world. It centres around a protagonist called Shin Kazama who was tricked into signing a contract to become a mercenary for over 3 years due to his best friend betraying him because they both loved the same woman.

A man who was supposed to be a civilian pilot with a beautiful love life ends up becoming a cold hearted fighter pilot who struggles with the loss of humanity he feels within as he finds himself paired up with those who enjoy war and a thirst for blood. A lot of my favorite aircraft make appearances including the F-8 Crusader, F-4 Phantom II, A-4 Skyhawk, F-14 Tomcat, Mig-23 Flogger, Mig-21 Fishbed etc.

There are only 3 conditions to get out. Serve all 3 years, pay over a million dollars or die. Overall, it's a very interesting anime that strongly explores the grey line of morality and it's one of my favorites.

The story revolves around Takumi Fujiwara, a student who works at a gas station and helps in his father's tofu shop by making daily tofu delivery runs to the hotels uphill on Mount Akina (known as Haruna in real life) with the family's ageing Toyota Corolla Sprinter Trueno (codenamed AE86).

The Legend movies are an excellent summary of the story in the manga, while the anime does have additional races/events.

I'd recommend Initial D to any car enthusiast, especially the Legend movies as it has it all - excellent animation, good music, excellent car sounds and decent technical accuracy as Keiichi Tsuchiya, popularly known as the Drift King was a consultant for most of the stages (aka seasons) of the anime.

The anime does have a sequel, MF Ghost - which I am yet to see, so I can't comment on it.
I am so glad, I searched for this thread. I am so happy to find a fellow Initial D fan here, you would not believe but my username came from Takumi Fujiwara, mine and his story revolved similarly. Only difference is I do not sell tofu and I couldn't drive until I got my license. My name was derived as Takumi who is a driver, what does he do? he delivers Tofu, that way, the name Tofudriver arrived.
