59-year old man walking from North Cape to Alaska Meet Chilean/Swede Hans. He is 59 years old. He decided he wanted to walk from Stockholm to Alaska but he was in bad shape and weighed 117 kilos.
He rigged up with a home made cart which he attached to his waist and went on a practice run to the North Cape in the North of Norway. 5000 km in 122 days. His daily walks are 50 km.
He returned back to Stockholm through Norway.
From Stocholm he walked back to Norway when I met him when a wheel fell off. After a few days he walked in snow and rain and now he is in Denmark while he rebuilds his cart to a sleeper so he can get rid of his tent
From Denmark he walks through France to Spain where he will board a cargo shop to Ushaia in Argentina
From there he will walk the length of South America, Mexico and the US.
My concern is how he will manage to cross the Darien Gap.
