Binge watched all Episodes. Agree with you - Good watch. Does feel emotionally detached for the most part but it doesn't come in the way. After all, this is not an emotional drama.

Decoupled :

Wannabe mixture of Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm (including many characterisations) with a dash of present day theme that fascinates Indians - feminist extreme left liberal flavoured divorce.

2 episodes of the 6th and final season of the sci-fi drama "The Expanse" has been released on Amazon Prime. This should conclude the final conflict between the Free Navy and the Inners.

4 more episodes to be released by Jan'22 will conclude this drama.

Mare of Easttown <on Hotstar> - 4/5

A slow burner murder mystery in small town America. Almost everyone in the town is related to others in one way or another. Some people disappear and some get murdered which brings out the hidden tensions in the townspeople. The initial episodes build up the story and it picks up pace from the latter part of the 4th episode, the series concluding with the 7th episode.

Well, I saw all Episodes in one go. Definitely better than the confusing Vol 1 but then, it had to be in order to tie up loose ends. Lot of drama and suspense entails. Lot of questions remain unanswered but then, there is no more seasons coming up and those questions will remain so. All-in-all: Good Series.
I watched it the day last season was released, just to have a closure. Although a good watch, the entire 2nd chapter (the entire 2nd heist) was just a way to cash in on the popularity of original (1st one). The same premise, much more implausible, repeated use of plot points/characters that were a hit in first leg (e.g. Berlin, who was dead in first chapter but were so popular that it was forced into the 2nd act), and loss of the shock value of the most potent story line that made the series so popular (Professor, who have planned everything, down to plan B, Plan C etc). for every plot twist, we always knew that this is going to be planned already and will come out the same way.

Gandia and Nairobi arc in season 4 was good though.

Overall, still a must watch (Don't get me wrong).

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Witcher S2 felt like a mess to me along with its wooden acting and butchering of some characters (mainly vesemir). S1 wasn't great itself but this felt even worse to me. Also i do wonder many who have not played the Witcher games (or books) at all understand lot of stuff.

Succession S3 ended brilliantly and it would be perfectly fine if it doesn't continue but i think S4 and S5 are planned.

Curb your Enthusiasm current season does make me genuinely laugh sometimes but a lot of other jokes are forced. Should probably end it.

Expanse final season is here. Ep 1 was decent but ep 2 was amazing. My favorite sci-fi show and it will be sad it is ending.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Couple of weeks ago Inside Edge Season-3 started popping up in my Amazon Prime recommendation. Didn't know that it's an old series and started watching S1 and S2.
It's based on IPL and since I haven't watched IPL after the initial couple of seasons I don't follow much of its ongoings.
But a pretty engaging series. Going on season 3 now.

Lost In Space Season 3 Netflix 2/5

While i loved first 2 seasons for the decent storyline and amazing CGI , final season turned out to be absolutely pathetic. Felt like watching a show made for 5 year old kids.
Was expecting a compelling space story and got mediocre family drama.

Aranyak-Netflix

I started with a limited expectation and it was surprisingly amazing. I'm a fan of Whodunit, Suspense and Thriller genre and this series kept me on my tenterhooks till it wrapped up (8 Episodes).

Excellent acting and combo of Raveeena Tandon and Parambatta Chatopadhya. They truly complimented each other. Raveena looks ravishing even now.

One of the main reason for liking this show was the backdrop of Himachal Pradesh- One of my favorite holiday destinations in India.

Go watch it !!

4/5

Insider's Edge (Season-3)-Netflix

Loved the S1 and not so much for S2 and third installment was similar to S2- Lukewarm and not that great. But, it is still enjoyable compared to the tonnes of below average content on Netflix.

The games of Bhaisaab and Vikrant Dhawan is still enjoyable and keeps the viewers glued to the screen. Everyone else is kind of woven around these 2 characters.

Decent timeless watch for sure.

3/5

Haha dude this one’s really INSANE!

Just binged through 4 episodes in a go right after dinner. Just 25-30 minutes each and the pair is amazing. I really like Madhavan in the movies and he’s done this really well.

Damn, Surveen Chawla is really hot!

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Aarya Season 2 (Hotstar) - 1/5

Another nonsensical season with no rhyme or reason, happenings and people conveniently converging around the protagonist in the end. Much like the first season, this one also begins with some promise in the first few episodes, before firmly accelerating downhill in the later part culminating with a huge dump of nonsense in the finale. I should have avoided watching the final episode this time too like the first season .
It's hard to connect or root for the protagonists and I ended up sympathizing with the rival family who were supposed to be the antagonists of the series.

Avoid even if you have nothing else to watch.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Just finished ‘The Good Fight’ on Amazon prime. Started this after recommendation here on this thread. If you liked Suits, you would enjoy this. Revolves around 2016 US election and scenario post that in the country. Rating: 4/5

Any idea where can we get rest 2 seasons? Its still not available on Prime.

Now that all episodes of the new series ‘The Wheel of Time’ is available, will binge watch this next

4400 (2021) - I have watched old version of this show from 2000s year and I have no memory of that but this one is boring and no fun. Waste of time.
