I appreciate him for what he does in the space he is in similar to how I appreciate Kalam, WOZ/Steve Jobs and quite a few other visionaries, none of whom are my messiahs.
Wait sir, I thought "I am not going to defend or counter this. This was told to me and I am sharing here.", otherwise would have tagged you on the post itself. Would really appreciate if you could ask your venerable source to provide counter points to the few technicalities that I pointed out (imagine how many holes a senior competent software developer could poke in this story if a noob like me could see through it?)

Didn't really know that you typed it out (don't care about your grammar skills..it doesn't seem to be a requirement on TeamBHP like before), the Whatsapp forward thing was a guess on my part.

Posts like this (oversimplifying complex topics into gibberish with poorly typed sentences) so that some layperson would be overawed into the insight the OP has, is a common trope on WhatsApp forwards. Apologies, if you did personally type it out.

Finally, I would admit that even I appreciate what Elon has achieved in some respects (staking his fortune on what others think is doomed to failure), but I don't really think that he is brains behind his success. I see him more as a maverick investor.

Even a guy like me working in a small software company knows how many people it takes to come out with a decent solution to a complex problem.

What I do believe is that his fortune allows him to hire a great PR firm that maintains his image of a larger-than-life genius personality and we are now seeing the results of him believing his own spiel.

Maybe the following helps a little bit on how the money flows in these software giants. Twitter’s is likely pre-Musk era.

Hey, Not defending or countering what was said, Sir. Was just clarifying your assumption and judgement that it's some copy-paste content that I put up as some kind of shill.

Anyway, this seems to be ruffling too many feathers and in all honesty, I think it's best I remove the content in question mostly because I agree with you on grammar (not my proudest moment) and that let's watch the unfolding of the situation. The end of it whether it ends well or badly is going to be a story for ages.

The best part about Twitter saga is the Babylon Bee videos. Kick back and watch it with plenty of popcorn.

Kara Swisher has put up a thread in which she disses Elon's game plan, and this makes the most sense to me:

(some nsfw language there)

Is it just me or anyone else think the same with the ongoing Twitter fiasco.

I personally found no problems with your post, it's veracity is as much there/ not there as others opinions on the matter sitting from a distance and I would equate it to a lot of other posts here who have attributed reasons etc to Musk for his decisions. It is a matter of business and not medical space where knowledge will matter to opine better.

You wrote the post out (irrespective of whether it came from a source or not) it's not a forward, whether true or not shouldn't matter - it is as credible as other posts before it or after it.

Don't worry about ruffling feathers if what you are doing is not in the area of impropriety (and this one isn't). Keep writing...

[Frankly, even if it had been a forward, as long as it presented an opinion in an area which didn't impact us gravely (like COVID), I wouldn't bother too much. Nobody will die by having an inaccurate version of what is happening at Twitter or with Musk]

I am not sure what these B schools will learn though. Because they will once again salivate at another exciting business icon in future. Everyone just wants to hop on to the bandwagon.

Elon Musk allows Donald Trump back on Twitter

https://www.npr.org/2022/11/19/11313...ack-on-twitter

Quote:
It's also unclear what a return of Trump to Twitter would mean for Truth Social.

According to a regulatory filing, Trump has an agreement with Truth Social to post there first and refrain from publishing the same content on any other social media site for six hours — with an exception for political messaging, political fundraising and get-out-the-vote efforts, which he can post anywhere at any time.

Yoel Roth's oped in NYT. Worth a read.

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/18/o...elon-musk.html

Peripherally related, Eliza Bleu reports that there's a marked reduction in CSAM available on Twitter, which she connects to less dragging of feet post acquisition:

Written narratives based on verbal interactions seldom have 100% accuracy as communication gaps would exist in conveying and understanding content. I would like to believe that what you have put down could represent a reasonably accurate description of events as much as other opinions could in this regard.

Sure, there would be deviations as your disclaimer states that it isn’t intended to be an accurate portrayal of events but the broader picture gives an insight into what is probably happening within Twitter. But then for that matter how does one know whether what has been written in the media and elsewhere is accurate either?

As is the case in such scenarios there will be opinions and counter opinions on any new content but then its for the individual to believe what could be true and dismiss the rest.

To state that your post is entirely inaccurate is at best only an opinion at this point in time. For that matter whether Elon MAY OR MAY NOT destroy twitter is also in the realm of conjecture for now.

And please don’t worry about your grammar; it is certainly good enough by most current Indian standards and gets the intent across.

Do keep posting any updates you may have from your source. It certainly makes for interesting reading.

Compliments to you for the open mindedness and for the maturity of your post and for making member @harshaguduru feel welcome despite some, including me, going after his original post. This virtual embrace is much appreciated and just what Team BHP needs. Your post embodies the best of the spirit of debate and discussion where we remain civil and welcoming even while strongly disagreeing .

Look who’s back! I’ll be honest, he’s among my least favourite politicians but his tweets are really entertaining, especially if you aren’t actually American!
