2050 A love story

Yaaaaaawwwwwwwwwn Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnn Yaaaawwwwwn Yaaaawwwwn
You know what, from certain camera angles Priyanka chopra looks like Yuvraj Singh,
The movie could have been slightly better if Harman Band Baja had been the heroine.
If this movie hadn't been made at all, it really would have been a masterpiece
*SPOILER ALERT, ONLY for those who don't want to waste money*
................
Scene 1:
Hi, I am Karan, I am retarded. I talk to sky, rub cars against trucks, and start break dancing for no reason. Occasionally I cry Daddy Daddy daaaaaaaadddddyyyy, Aap mijhe pyar nahin karte, agar mein mar jaun to kaun mujhe miss karega. - He is right, nobody will.
Hi I am Sana, and I live in 1050. There are no phones no emails, and after I go we can't meet, and I don't even own a cell phone, coz I don't know how to use one
Cool, me too same boat, I afford crashing fast cars, and living in a mansion but not a cell phone
So it goodbye
Sob Sob Sob(Repeat for 20 minutes)
Scene 2 next day
Hi I am the same retarded karan and I will run after train.
Booo hooo train went away
Now how do I find out where did this train go?
Booo hoo I am too retarted to buy a schedules copy
So I will cry now Booo hoooo
Ohhhhhhhh I seee a butterfly. Its sitting on train to shamshanghat where my uncle lives. I will go there and find my love
Next scene
Its raining and due to that hero/heroine bump into each other
Next scene
Heroine eats ice-cream and dies.
Booo hoooo booo hooo
Audience : Boo hoo booo hoooo why don't you die too so that we can go home
Mad uncle : I have time machine, we won't go into past to save sana, because then movie will be too simple, we will go to 2050 and save reincarnated sana

Karan, Uncle and 2 kids reach future. Interval happens. half the theater leaves.

After interval
Woooo Look at Mumbai, everybody has flying cars, and sana is now Zyesha, the worlds most popular singer, but anybody can meet her thanks to pet robot mad scientist uncle fixed in a warehouse.
Mad villian with mask : I need time machine give me Dr. Khanna(thats the name of mad scientist uncle)
Karan sings songs and wails like the herione, who remembers past.
Karan than fights superhuman strenght android who looks like karan.
20 people shoot karan, but he is acrobatic.

Karan gets Sana/Zyesha, fight mad villian who can teleport too.

Over 3 hours of pure unadulterated torture.

Ouch !!! That is really a hurting review.

Excellent by the way.

I am convinced Tanveer that I am not going to 2050.

I will watch Jaane tu ... Ya jaane na. Now that looks promising.

Just read a couple of reviews for 2050. Similar to what Tanveer has posted. Meanwhile Jaane Tu Ya.. has awesome reviews all over. I think I will catch it tonite itself. 2050 doesnt seem to have a chance. Imran has Harman Band Baja beaten even before it started.

Jaane tu should be watched just for Genelia and A.R.Rehman's score.
Its apparently the remake of the Tamil movie "Santosh Subramaniam" which was remade from the telugu movie "Bommarillu". The interesting part is Genelia plays the heroine in all the versions.

Nitrous does the Tamil version have the same soundtrack in Tamil like Minnale and RHTDM or are the songs different?

@nitrous apparently the review in buzz18 doesnt have a similar story line. Its just the song Aditi which seems to have been INSPIRED by the song from bommarilu and nothing else.
Will be going to watch it tommorow

I concur, an excellent film. Goes a little slow at times, but brilliant performances.

For music score isnt it better to buy a CD than pay at the theater?
So howz the movie, apart from the music score.

I saw Jaane tu in the afternoon as well, ill be a little more liberal and give the movie 4.5/5 it was a delightful romantic saga with a lil bit of comedy every now and then... nothing seemed to be exaggerated and almost all the actors gave flawless performances. The khan dude sure is going to get a lot of fans. This movie is a must watch for everyone.
