Watched Chak De India today. Awesome movie. Probably the best sports oriented movie ever made in Indian cinema. I liked it over the Lagaan too. Purely for the factual details of the play, portrayal of sad and judgemental mob mentality we are all aware off and the patriotism it evoked and also the fact that it portrayed two of the most down looked upon facts in India today. Hockey and women. Everyone in the crowd were cheering, shouting like mad with every goal or a block made by the team. What I was most surprised is the respect our youth seem to have for the National Anthem. The minute it played the entire theater just stood up in respect. It was very nice to see. Go India Go.

rush hour 3 , first half is good comedy, second half only stunts.

rush hour 1 and 2 was were much better

also, at 90 mins the movie seems too small.

Chak de

excellent, fantabulous, great performances, motivational, etc etc.

it is a very well made movie.

not to miss the performances of certain actors, some of them are actual hockey players.

my rating 4.5/5.

REVIEW ON CHAK DE INDIA - Superb, Excellent, Awesome, Amazing, Time-Pass, Fun, everything rolled in to one movie. Beautiful Movie overall. A MUST WATCH !! SRK at his best after Swades, Very realistic acting, just proves the fact that SRK is the best ( better than AB now - PERIOD )

This movie had me smiling throughout. The Hockey Players girls are just too good.

The one who acted Preeti Sabharwal - just made my heart melt !! She is So Cuteee !!! Very very good movie after a long while. Go watch it ppl if you have not already.

Cheers !!

Chak De India?

I was bored out of my brains for the first half. At interval, I pretended the movie was over and picked up my popcorn to head home, but was unfortunately dragged back into the cinema hall by my friends (they're not my friends anymore). The second half, though a bit more imaginative, was still completely drab.

Didn't anyone notice the weird penalty shoot-out tie-breaker???

The commentator announces that each team will get 5 shots at the goal, and then it becomes a race to 5. Even the indicator at the bottom of the scoreboard that indicates a missed shot with a red light and a succesful one with green had only 5 total lights, not the near dozen that each of the teams shot at one another!

Saw Chuk De India. IMHO it is one of the best films made in the present lot. Shahrukh is brilliant (and im not even remotely a SRK fan). The girls i think did a brilliant job. Out of all of them, Vidya Malawade (the goalie and Captain) is the only one who has any experience as shes a model. But they all did their part extremely well. There was no melodrama (mai tumhare kutte ke bacche ki ma banne wali hun!!) no love or romantic angle and no evil saas bahu type of crap. Guess thats what made it into a winner. Out of the girls, the best performances were o fthe short Harayana girl, the burly Punjab girl and the snooty railways girl who thinks shes god. Even the Chandigarh girl deserves a mention. A must watch. I would recommend it surely. At least we win a gold on the screen

Hey B&T, As far I remember there were only 5 shots for each team.
I hope you didn't see any pirated edited version of the film.

Saw Rush Hour 3 past weekend. Pretty good movie!
I really love the way Jackie Chan & Tucker work as a team.

Gonna watch 'Shooter' tonight...

Just back after watching Transformers. The movie rocked. Brought back childhood memories of watching the Autobots and Decepticons battling it out. The special effects are absolutely mindblowing. The transforming sequences are out of this world. After a long long time is a movie which I enjoyed to the core. Yes the ending could have extended and the last fight sequences are sometimes confusing to watch since the robots are fyling all over the place. But didnt bother me really.

A must watch for those who were Transformers fanatics when they were kids. Even if you dont know who they are, still watch it.

And yes its GM cars in the movie all the way

Grey market version of the film, eh? lol.

Didn't Shahrukh's girlies win the penalty shoot out 5 goals to 4? Wasnt that the score even after they missed a few shots? Doesn't that itself imply that they took more than 5 shots at the goal?
