Best thing about QOS: The start - The first scene of the movie shows the side vents of the DBS! Wuhuu!! Thats it basically, nothing else even suggests that its a Bond movie..Few stunts here and there..strange storyline!
2/5

Fashion - Nice real movie although most of you already know what happens in the 'actual' fashion world!
3.5/5

Heroes - Really nice movie! Very emotional. Good acting from almost everyone. Sunny Deol upto his usual antics - shouting, screaming and breaking everything that comes in his way!
4/5

QOS - Wastage of time. Storyline was pathetic. Acting more. Screenplay the worst. No gadgets. No action(a couple of idiotic chases though). I will rate this the worst bond movie i had seen and i had seen all till date. Daniel Craig is disappointing as Bond - No charm and Charisma of Pierce Brosnan from whom he took the bond lead. Strangest thing was the familiar Bond music tune till the end!
People who have not seen give this a pass.
Rating - 1.5/5

I too saw QOS. Some like it, some love it while some other simply hate it.

I Kind of did all three.
Loved it cause bond appears to be more human and has got some emotions.
Like it cause action was more realistic rather than geaky.(such a spy can exist in real life situations.
Hate it cause; common dude where are all the beautiful cars. Maybe Bond too is facing recession and hence the cost cutting by having just one car chase scene(though superbly executed). In the rest of the movie you never really get to see the exotics

Overall rating: 3 (would have upgraded to 3.75-4 had they used a little more dosage of cars)

Yesterday I managed to see an interview with the director who made QOS. According to him, the new Bond is more in touch with his feminine side, he actually mentioned Yin & Yang. This is the director who made Monster's ball and Finding Neverland. What else can one expect?

DOSTANA

2 friends pretend to be gays to get a house to stay - where stays a hot chick too. both fall in love with her - and her boss arrives to join the party.

Funny in parts - AB is good , John is wooden (acting), Priyanka is hot , Bobby is Bobby.

But the usual problem with Bollywood movies comes up again - the movie is a wee bit too long and tends to drag in the 2nd half. 30 minutes could have been easily chopped off.

Locations are yummy and the pink Caddy is droooooooolllllll.

Verdict - 2.5 / 5.
Watch it - brainless fun but if gay jokes offend you, be warned.

ps - John has shown almost everything. The movie starts with his Daniel Craig shot (walking out of the sea in yellow shorts and pulling them down)

Saw The Pursuit of Happyness again last night on TV.
The movie shows the life of how a guy, who loves his son, fighting against odds his sufferings & the way he emerges as a winner at the end. The father son chemistry is shown brilliantly.

Its based on a true story

4.5/5

EDIT: NC somehow I expected the story to be what you just mentioned, how predictable movies have become sigh :(

Saw Dostana last night. First half is pretty ok and its quite funny, and makes you laugh a lot. The story is ok and watchable just once. I would say they need to trim the movie by about 15-20 minutes to make it better. Overall go and watch it. rating 3/5

Yesterday, saw a movie called "red eye" on Star Movies. It was about a woman being taken hostage on plane by a stranger who seeks her help in assasination of a US Senator.

Extremely taut and gripping movie. Enjoyed it a lot

3.5/5

Excellent movie. Everytime i see it gives an inspiration. Life of an ordinary man with dreams of future cant be depicted better and Will smith rocks in this one

Watched James Bond's movie QOS.
1) Alfa Romeo ( I think its 159 ) are very quick and can almost match the Aston Martin.
2) The car chase is just 2 or 3 minutes. Meaningless.
3) The storyline is a joke.
4) Just ordinary moive.
5) Rating from my side : 1.5.

Note that this car is rather an advertisement for the Ford Edge sold in US.

Dostana

Watched it last nite, and had a blast. It is a fun to watch how the envelpoe has been pushed visa-a-vis the morms accepted in Hindi cinema, No the Gay angle is very well used to create awareness and make same gender relationships more acceptable in the mainstream, for the people behind the movie, as and when they decide to come out of the closet. But over all a movie worth going to the theatre cheers:

Guys who watched Dostana. Single question family ok to take along or not. Include if parents are not to be around.
