just saw this movie "blind dating" on zee studio yest about some blind guy who falls for an indian girl and then undergoes a radical surgery to restore his eyesight. But then the gizmo in his eye fails and his sight goes for a toss again.
Howcome in every such movie where they do some radical operation to restore eyesight, it succeeds initially and then the guy sees flashes of light, faints and goes blind again

This is what one site said:

Back from FDFS of QOS.
Bond's Stunts were amazing. Very Bourne-ish.
Poor audio quality at the theatre didn't allow me to get the plot or anything about the movie. Most of the movie was dialogues :(
I'll watch it again and then give a rating.

Not much of action. Like nitrous mentioned, its more of brute force, bourne-ish (jumping off rooftops, bare fist fights, etc) rather than all gadgetry bond style. Quite weird but even in the theater in which I watched, the audio volume was low but later it was perfect. I personally dint like it. It was WAY below my expectations. I was never a fan of Craig and thats the reason I dint watch his earlier Casino Royale. Not many cars, the regular Aston Martin DBS, Alfa Romao, LandRover and some Ford SUVs and thats it. No gadgets in the DBS. The car chase in the opening sequence is not that great. The only action sequence I liked overall was the one where he is flying a plane fighting a bomber. The plot was not so impressive, the girl too was not so ahem...attractive?? (I was surprised that this Bond flick dint have any feminine touch) It was a drag and I was bored till the interval. I expected it to pace up after the interval but the pace was equally slow as the initial half. Compared to the earlier Bond series like Tomorrow never dies, Die another day and Casino Royale, this one isnt close.

I would rate it 2/5. Seriously, I would rather have watched the older versions of the Bond series than go watch this again.

Ah. Yes.

Watched both Fashion & Golmaal Returns. Frankly speaking, I liked Golmaal better than Fashion. But then, I had more expectations from Fashion than Golmaal Returns, so maybe...

Fashion is a bit too long. Maybe an hour too long. Same goes for Golmaal, but hey, at least it can be watched without racking your brains..

In Shreyas Talpade's own words..

" Aajkal key movies suck...what the ***k..?! "

Looking forward to Ghajini. Maybe the year end's blockbuster would be from Aamir.

Q O S

It's an action packed movie but still unlike a Bond movie. There is a mandatory car chase sequence, a parkour sequence, a motor boat chase, an aircraft chase, hand fights but the movie could not hold any attention. It could have been another action movie with any other star in it. Even Olga is just about ok.

Compared to this, the Bourne series is awesome.

Verdict - 2/5

ps - the low audio was a problem where I watched it too.

Quantum of Solace 007 -

Just watched the evening show at Adlabs.

I agree with most of the reviews here, It's just OK ! I expected much more out of this. The promos are more tempting than the movie. Daniel Craig is awesome as usual but it looks like his whole potential is not used.

The movie is no doubt a one time watch but it could have much much more.

Bourne Ultimatum is a hundred times better. Casino Royale was much better as well.

The Action scenes are excellent but too few. The ending is so so.

Bond chicks are OK. Cars are so so, no Gadgetry this time. No heavenly bodies also !! Locations are good.

VERDICT - 3/5 ( On a higher Side ! )

Just back from Fashion. The first half is good and promising while the second half is utter rubbish and makes the whole movie a disappointment.

Just back from QOS.

Its not a Bond movie. Nowhere close. I thought it was some movie starring Jason Statham. Bond is turning more into a romantic hero rather than an action hero. Fights were ok. Aston Martin is showed just for the heck of it, a small 2 mins chase is not enough. From Aston Martin he degrades to a Volvo, Ford, Range Rover and a Beetle.

2.5/5.
