That fire looks quite ferocious too. Man, the owner would be weeping still.

Was the car in motion at the time or parked? Hope the occupants (if any) were unharmed!

O M G! Such a bad fire. One of the beautiful looking ikon's burnt. I feel really sorry for the owner. How come the bonnet isn't blackened out by the fire?? Looks like the fire started in the passenger cabin..

Btw, it might be an engine explosion. Because of the look that the headlights and the grille are not there. If it fell down, it would be lying next to it..

A

A cigarette butt, perhaps? Just thinking out loud.

Riju, Cant really say if thats a new car. All of them look that way from that angle. Not much design changes there.

Disturbing though.

this looks frightening. another poor LPG conversion? i guess we'l never know. don't these new cars have a fuel cut-off sensor something when there is a leakage??

more of these incidents makes me want to bring back the good ol' meat and pie engineered cars!!

The Ikon does have a fuel cut-off sensor, which cuts off fuel supply in the case of an impact. I am assuming that since there was no impact involved here, it didnt get trigerred.

I had a shock seeing the picture in the papers as I had an Ikon till just a month ago in this same color and with the spoiler. I then heaved a sigh of relief that it wasnt my old car when I noticed the blacked out b pillar.

Was it set ablaze by some pissed off bystanders after an accident? There seems to be a broken bottle near the front right tyre ...
