I just got a bit curious as to which cars do the TBhpian's own? Just need to see how TBhpian's react to a new car vs how the market reacts to it. Should be fun!

Let's follow the following while voting-
1) Vote on the basis of only your CURRENT cars. If you are hopping between car purchases, and don't have a car currently, then you can vote for the new car you have booked. If not booked, then please don't vote.
2) Vote on the basis of cars owned by You, Your dad/mom, Your direct siblings, Your kids and Wife.
3) Multiple votes allowed. If you own a Maruti and Hyundai, you can vote for both. Can't think of a option of how you can vote if you have two Maruti or two Hyundai's! Maybe mods can help.
4) Poll only limited for car brands that are sold in India.
5) Tried to include almost all brands I remember that are sold in India. If I have missed someone, please use other option.
6) You can use, CTRL + F to find your brand, since the list is somewhat long, and not arranged alphabetically.

But no option to vote. This thread is different. Here we will be able to gauge only current car brands owned by Bhpian's. Kind off a market share comparison for Bhpian's!

Can the options be listed alphabetically? The list is long and would be good to have it sorted alphabetically so that its easier to look for a brand

I would infact wish to have a sort applied to the options, wherein the higher% brand automatically moves upwards in the list. Maybe the mods can assist here.

Good idea for a thread. I think it will be interesting to see the brands distribution for team-bhp members and compare that with the known sales distributions across India. Interesting market study for sure. I am sure Maruti and Hyundai will emerge as top two brands in this list too. However, I will not be surprised if we see relatively less percentage of Maruti and Hyundai numbers and higher percentage of VAG and Ford numbers in here, as compared to the general market trend across India.

Agree. When I was going through the voting options, I assumed they would be alphabetically listed, and was confused for a second when I did not see that order. The current order seems like the order based on overall sales numbers already. It would be good if this could be changed to alphabetical order.

So which cars do I own? Currently I own a BMW 320d and a Maruti SX4, and I have voted accordingly.

The cars I own?

1. Toyota Innova GX - Bought in 2010, has 2.2 Lac kilometres on the odometer. However, with a very heavy heart we will be selling it by the end of this week.

2. Honda City - Bought in December 2013, has a mere 23k kilometres on the odometer. Will sell it in the coming months.

Too early to judge but I guess we already know the possible result. Maruti topping the list, followed by Hyundai being a distant 2nd. Rest way behind in bits and pieces. Kinda monthly sales chart trend

Personally its 2 HONDAs for us. 2013 Brio back home(odo: 70k kms) & 2019 Jazz CVT with me(odo: 11k kms).

It would be interesting to see the developing trend here. No doubt that Maruti/Hyundai would see high votes, but this being Tbhp i would be delighted to see the outliers.

Personally, we have a Honda Mobilio (2015) and a Ford Ecosport (2020) at home. The Ford is the latest into the stable and it was purely a heart over head decision.

I think this will be an interesting poll/thread. Interim results seem to go against the general perception of Team BHP members being Motörhead’s.

Don’t get me wrong. Vast majority seem to own Maruti’s as it stands now.

I own a XUV500, First gen Swift and a Jetta.

Going by the brands, Maruti and Hyundai will top the charts here. However if this were to be a voting system on the basis of models, maybe the Polo could be the model which most BHP-ians own.

Sorry if I missed it, but cant spot Volvo. Pretty sure there are a bunch of Volvo owners here on the forum.
