Hi Rishi,

That still does not answer my question. How do I do whatever you suggested. Links and step wise procedure would be appreciated.

ok go to this link and install the delicious bookmarks extension. When it will be installed it will ask you to create a login and password. Then it will ask you whether you want export your browser bookmarks to delicious bookmarks, once you have done that all you need is delicious installed on your other PC and login using the same username and you will be able to access your bookmarks you created on a different machine. I hope this helps.

Viper please post what version of Firefox are you using. In version 2.0 I think its a little different when compared to the older versions.

In the older versions under the bookmarks tab you need to choose manage bookmarks and from there on its self explanatory. You would export the bookmarks to a text/notepad file and save the same.

Copy this text file to the destination system and then on the destination system you choose import bookmarks and point to the file you have just copied.

Follow this link and check how to export and import bookmarks.

Viper,

There are quite a few Firefox add-ons, which will help you do that. I did a quick search and found this. These are aimed at having same bookmarks anywhere you go (provided you can get online). Hope, this helps.

Viper try MozBackup. It can backup and restore everything like cookies, bookmarks, passwords, visited urls etc etc..

MozBackup - Backup tool for Firefox and Thunderbird

I have used it at times to sync and when i formated my laptop recently works like charm.

Secondly you can install google toolbar and import bookmarks from home pc to your google account and then use office computer and import it from account.

I use online bookmarks manager
OnlineBookmarkManager | Online Bookmark - Favorite Manager
It has a firefox extension.
So all you do is export all your bookmarks, and then import on the new PC.

Won't copying the user's profile folder do the job?
On linux, it is in a ".mozilla" folder in your user's home folder e.g /home/user2/.mozilla/firefox/<profile_name>
On Windows, it should be in C:\Documents and Settings\himanshu\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile_name>

Copy the folder's contents (mind you, no the folder itself) onto the profile folder (it will have a different name than the one on your source machine) on your destination machine. It will copy over ALL user-specific settings/information.
