How many countries have you visited so far? Do you have a goal or number in mind? What are your top destinations left to visit?
Talking about myself, I have just crossed the 25 countries mark. My most coveted future destinations are in South America and Africa.
Three.
Means staying for more than one year.
If India is excluded, then two. Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
If layovers and transits are included, then UAE, Bahrain, Oman and I guess Sri Lanka too. stupid:
Waiting for the days I could visit some countries just for pleasure.
My top dream places to visit are Japan and USA.
No particular goals or numbers in mind.
Usual cliche stuff: Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, UK, Malaysia, Germany, a stereotypical African safari.
Almost hard to do bucket list, atleast from the financial point of view.
1. India to UK roadtrip - Guess it has been done umpteen times by now. Almost like the rich/determined folks' Leh/Manali trip.
2. India to Singapore roadtrip.
3. Live for a month in Japan. Renting cars to visit the interiors and touge roads.
4. Do a cross Australia, specifically the Stuart highway.
5. Coast to coast drive in USA.
6. Don't know if possible. But would love to do a roadtrip covering all the GCC nations.
Phew...
As it is, I would say am lucky if I am able to do any roadtrip north of Bengaluru withing one year.please:

I'm yet to visit any country. The only place that I've been to which is away from mainland India is the Sindhudurg fort lol:
As per your above statement for the starters I would also love to visit Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar, Cambodia, etc without breaking the bank. Also Bangladesh may be :D
Then visit some East European countries and then Japan and some countries which are not commonly travelled to.
34 not counting transits.
And I'm done with globe trotting. No enthusiasm left for foreign visits. I now travel, pre-CV19 at least, within my country. Time to get to know her better. It helps to stay in a different country and do business with it. Helps broaden the mind and teaches you new tricks, new skills, new perspectives.
One thing I learnt that despite our cultural differences all humans respond more or less similarly to appreciation, fair play, back biting, drawing the line, firmness, nastiness. I found lovely people in each nation as much as I found dishonest and venal folks in each nation. God has not discriminated :-)
I have visited a total of 16 countries, and I echo the above sentiment, the fun of travelling has dwindled over the time. With advent of Youtube and internet, you already research so much about the country and see photos and videos of the place, that when you finally reach there, it feels like you have already been there done that.
One thing though that is left is to do a road trip with my brother in Europe, we want to have a theme of a waking up in new country every day, just for fun. Europe is the only place where we can pull this off. Will plan it hopefully next year.
I visited 6 countries. Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, Belgium, France and Thailand.
First two, spent good amount of time working. Rest have been for vacations. Not counting the transit ones like malaysia, Hong Kong, UAE etc :D
Srilanka , Dubai , Abudhabi , Sharjah, Bhutan , Thailand , Indonesia, China, Australia, Slovakia , Romania , Austria, Germany , Britain, Netherlands & the USA. These are the places that I’ve visited, all of them for short term business/pleasure and most of them more than once.
I’m actually missing the airports and the planes and can’t wait to jump in to an aircraft soon.
I do have a bucket list to check off. Fingers crossed.
154, if not lockdown would have done 175 this year.
The countries I have visited are Mauritius, France, Switzerland, Italy, UK, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Bhutan.

Ok my post is not gonna add any value here but..WOWW!! And also HOW!! :Shockked::Shockked:
Singapore, Malaysia,UAE, Maldives.
Last foreign trip we did as a family was some 8 years ago. After that dad went to Kerala for some sort of convention and realised there's a lot to discover in our own country. Since then we've been covering one spot per year. Started from J&K, did all the way till Andaman and Nicobar. Only NE and Goa is left, plan to cover that before mom-dad's 25th anniversary. Will plan a month long Europe trip for their silver jubilee:).

154, that's incredible. And saying would have added 21 more in like in 7 months if not lockdown. Whoa
I don't think I can even count the names of 154 countries without referring.
I have visited around 15 and I consider each state of India as equivalent to one country. I have a very interesting anecdote to share here:
Back in 2006, I was in Munnar and there I met a man who was from Israel and was riding a hired RE all the way from Delhi. There is this nice restaurant named Rapsy Restaurant and I had this conversation going with him. He was so elated to be in India that he was overwhelmed and he actually freaked me out with his thoughts.
He only told me in his broken English and I quote- you guys are so blessed to be born in India, I am riding through Delhi and now that I have reached Munnar, I only have this thought with me that India consists of so many countries together inside itself. Every 50 (fifty) kilometres, something or the other changes- be it landscape, be it food habits, be it language or dialect, be it the weather, almost everything changes, desert changes from sea shores and sea shores change to hills in space of just some kilometres !!
The guy jokingly said that in my country wherever and whichever way I see, I can only see sand and nothing else. He offered me to go to Israel in his place and in return he can replace me in my country. The conversation just blew my mind in terms of how I see my country.
Our country is too beautiful and I have not even scratched the surface of it yet. Work has taken me abroad some of times but that’s about it. I intend to see my beautiful country with all my eyes open, if only the atmosphere remains sane till I grow old !!
I have touched 42. Have covered the Far East with the exception of mainland China. The dream is to do an Antarctic cruise.
12 so far, lived in two of those(India and Netherlands).
