I am not associated with them, so I guess you can ask the sales manager when you visit one of their stores.

It's a half-baked website. It is completely unclear whether it is a half-built precursor to an online-shopping site or simply an internet "advert" to attract people to their stores. My guess it is the latter, designed by people who are used to doing the former

It is a seriously poorly designed website.
First impressions matter a lot.
The website leaves a lot to be desired.

Re: Mr. DIY - Do It Yourself store opens in India

I fail to understand how keeping tools for sale alongside items generally found in a supermarket makes it Mr. "DIY".
I was thinking small DIY projects as seen on youtube! (Peltier chips, 775 DC motors, impellers, propellers, battery packs, etc.) Its Day-dreaming!

For Navi Mumbai residents in search of tools and hardware, just visit Turbhe Station Hardware Market and you will find just about anything.
There you don't need to suffice with cheap Chinese stuff. The friendly wholesaler cum retailer will sell you the obvious and best choices and that too at reasonable prices:
Screw-drivers, pliers and spanners -Taparia
Power tools - Bosch or Black and Decker
That's it.

All major Cities have such kind of concentrated markets.

Re: Mr. DIY - Do It Yourself store opens in India

Visited a newly opened store beside DMart, Kalyani Nagar, Pune. They were still setting up the store.
Overall I came out very disappointed. I wonder why its called "DIY" store. Almost everything is Chinese and I felt very costly. Not just DIY related stuff, but they have many other things like curtains, kitchen items, toys, locks etc. Only small section was dedicated for tools and hardware.
I feel local hardware shops might have cheaper, better and locally made options.

Re: Mr. DIY - Do It Yourself store opens in India

I visited their Phoenix Mall branch today. The quality of those tools is less than acceptable, for e.g. some spanners were beginning to rust through their protective coat, so called polishes and waxes were worse than the locally made Waxpol etc. I'll stick to Gedore, Stanley Taparia for hand tools, thank you very much. Then I checked the so called 500A jumper cable, the cable itself is a good 10-12 mm thick but when I peeled off the rubber grip on the crocodile clip the copper wire inside was THIN, probably a 6 sq mm conductor with a super thick coat of insulating material!! Typical Chinese junk. Do NOT buy this go in for an Amazon Basics jumper cable. Really decent quality and VFM.

Mr DIY seems like a store full of cheap Chinese stuff the kind you get at flea markets..not just tools but stuffed toys, furnishings among other sundry items.

This has been a real disappointment.
