What pisses me off is that they won't send me a genuine replacement and only refund the money, which they are yet to do even.

It is a ell known fact that flip-kart has added many sellers who authenticity is unverified.

Thumb rule for flip-kart is verify the seller is WS RETAIL.

Its your fault you ordered from some other seller. Pay attention next time and follow up for your refund.

Easy, tiger.

No need to be so harsh. It was a general query. Most people aren't aware of the difference between the two.

That said, I am hearing more and more dreadful incidents with FK. Fake phones, faulty phones replaced with refurbished phones.

Once the poster boy for Indian e-Commerce, FlipKart is undoing all the good work they did. In a hurry!

Also, I suggest you guys install the BuyHatke extension for Chrome. It is terrific in notifying you of any price drops as well as suggesting sites where the product you are looking at is cheaper. It also gives you a price history for the past month, which helps you in understanding whether a product that is supposedly on sale, is really available for a price that is lower than usual.

If everyone just buys from WS retail, FK will shut shop in months. It is flipkart's duty to ensure that the quality and genuineness of the product in their site is guaranteed, irrespective of the seller. If not, they shouldn't have this banner in every page.

Amazing shipping by Amazon!
Placed an order for one plus two today morning at 7.45, thanks to the invite shared by bhpian Rajeevraj, the phone has been delivered at 5pm now.
This was on choosing normal 3-4 day shipping.

Lost out on Rs.4.9k due to oversight on my part. :(

I had ordered a Lenovo laptop from Paytm last Friday. This wasn't the first order I had placed from the Paytm android app, me having ordered 10+ items ( speakers, amps etc.) over the last month as part of my car's ICE upgrade, and I blindly proceeded to checkout the laptop. The item was despatched the next day and I received it yesterday, but the cashback amount wasn't credited yet. I promptly sent a mailer to their customer care, and it was after they pointed it out in their reply that I realised that the promo code wasn't applied while placing the order.

This came as a rude shock, as I hadn't manually applied any promo code while ordering the previous items. I even re-traced my ordering steps and the procedure only reiterated what I believed- the promo code is applied automatically while ordering from the app.

Alas, I guess nothing can be done now. I have no screenshot of the earlier transaction.
I'll think twice and look twice before ordering an item off Paytm. It may not be their fault entirely, but trust is something that's easily lost.

Is the laptop not returnable? Most items I've seen can be returned. A friend of mine returned a ladder for this exact same reason that the cash back was missed due to the voucher or code not being applied. Give it a shot and good luck!

It was a DOS version that I ordered and we promptly loaded Windows as soon as we unboxed it.
Guess I'll just let it be. The difference between the DOS and Windows versions is roughly around 4k. I'll convince and console myself.

I put up that post just to warn others to keep their eyes open and check twice before checking out, lest they make a mistake as I did.

Got to PayTM/care > Raise a ticket : It mentions an option that you forgot to input the Discount Code. Submit the screenshot from your orders under that option.

Thats no big deal, a hard disk can easily be formatted. But AFAIK they'll quite surely credit the discount.

re: The Online Shopping Thread

Guys, any sale / offers expected in a month's time (max) on Flipkart?

Need to replace wife's phone with a Moto G3.
Currently it's 12999 (but also out of stock).

Thanks,

Ace.
