Re: Your favourite song while driving

Listen quite a bit to BlackStratBlues (Warren Mendonsa). I play the tracks Nights in Shining Karma and Newness more often than others.

Re: Your favourite song while driving

For those moments when you want some action (of the legal sort ) in your drive, tune into the 21st Century's No. 1 Rock / Metal Song, Lateralus - Tool.

Plenty of energy and great for a lively drive. The info on the composition and construction of this song is worth browsing through. IMO, it makes the experience THAT much better.

This song is from his old album nevertheless quiet a hit you know. If you like Armin Van Burren try State Of Trance.

Also if you can tether music from Bluetooth or Aux install a application called "Di.Fm" for people with BB, Windows phones, Apple or Android with 3G connection and you will never have to carry a Flash drive or CD ever again.

Re: Your favourite song while driving

Almost all seem to adore the English world so much so that our own Hindi and regional world seems to be lost in this motoring music lovers Care to listen to the Hindi or even songs in mother-tongue and quite a few of them come out striking to create a fantastic feel to drive on.

I love to listen to
1. Zindagi Aa Raha Hoon Main - Kishore - Saaheb
2. Ek Raasta Hain Zindagi - Kishore - Kaala Pathhar
3. Raju Chal Raju - Kishore - Aazad
4. Checkmate - Title Song (Marathi)
5. Sanai Choughade (Marathi)
Blast the above to the (near) full in the car and what an effect it has on the drive. Also there are numerous more burnt on my MP3 discs which are permanently lodged in the car so that I can just play on when the Radio turns boring/monotonous or out of range or just that special zeal of drive-on creeps in.

Also numerous English tracks that create varied ambience as per mood from
Guns'N'Roses (esp. Sweet Child O' Mine)
Aerosmith
Pink Floyd
Deep Purple
Scorpions (esp. Winds Of Change)
Eagles
Sting
The Doors
U2 (esp I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Where The Streets Have No Name)
Led Zeplin
John Bon Jovi
The Corrs
Madonna
Shania Twain
Bob Marley
Harry Belafonte
and others (oops did I exhaust the list )

If you liked the Susan Boyle version, pls search for original version of the song if you haven't already. Some renditions are absolutely beautiful, like Lea Salonga. The actual version is a sad song, and not as happy as Susan makes it to be.

Re: Your favourite song while driving

I came across this song a few days ago, by the band Foster-the-People. Song's Name is 'Dont Stop' and it's a really cheerful, yet pedal-to-the-metal song. I love it while driving on an open road. Makes me put my foot down

These days cannot resist playing Usher's "Scream(r3hab remix)" and Flo Rida's "Whistle"

This has become current favorite may be for a couple of months.

Re: Your favourite song while driving

As long as I am driving in and around maybe 50 or so km from Bangalore I normally have indigo fm on constantly.

When on cd I hav very varied taste. If I do not like the song in the first two or max three times I listen to it I generally don't like it.

There are a couple of artists where I can listen to any of their albums and songs without hesitation though. Madonna, MJ, nickelback, oasis, and a few others that don't come to mind now. As a rule of thumb I prefer English music

Dido - Life for rent

R3hab
Afrojack
Steve Aoki
Avicii
Edward Maya.
Sometimes Armin Van Buuren and Tiesto

Actually the list is countless.

Currently I am hooked to this track called Levels by Avicii. Fantastic number for spirited highway drives . Any electronica/techno/trance tracks are welcome

Guess you would also like "Moscow" and "Lift Off" by "W&W". I'm currently hooked onto these two. Also, Calling(Lose my mind) mix by Sebastian Ingrosso.
