There are just so many songs to listen to while driving. A lot of it depends on my mood as well. Most of the times Audioslave and Iron Maiden do the trick.

Also, some Metallica songs and yes, some Dev D songs. Especially Emotional Atyachaar Rock version. Simply FANTASTIC!

Thanks man! The music I prefer listening to while on a drive should have instruments in it. I don't like listening to trance or house while on a drive. A few tracks are an exception however!

love loads of songs from the beatles ,they are simply fantastic.
i personally love songs of theirs like No reply, maxwell silver hammer, glass onion etc and many of their famous songs.
the best part about them is that they take simple topics and make it into brilliant songs.

another song which i like to listen on a long drive- House of the Rising sun by the animals.

Oh yes! And of course, Led Zep is a great band to listen too while on a long drive. The guitar riff in 'Kashmir' still haunts me!

Second that., Led Zep is one of the all time greats of Rock. The versatile guitar play by Page is awesome. I like their version of "when the levee breaks" and of course "kashmir".

I had a firm favourite for many years. It was "Everybody wants to rule the world" by Tears for Fears and Tom Petty's "Learning to fly" came second.
A few years ago, Mark Knopfler came out with an album called "Sailing to Philadelphia" and one of the songs from that album has taken over as my favourite driving song. It's called "Speedway at Nazareth".
I thought you are going to say a Bob Marley song

The songs I play while driving depends on how I wanna drive -- smooth / spirited ! I listen to melodies if i drive sedate and fast numbers with good beats if I drive fast. Some fast numbers I love are...

1. Virtual Diva -- Don Omar
2. Conteo -- Don Omar
3. Oyeme -- Enrique
4. I hate this part -- Pussy cat dolls.
