Please write to prioritycare@jio.com and copy appellate.del@jio.com, Anuj.jain@ril.com and mukesh.ambani@ril.com. I would expect immediate action from Jio.

I had some issue earlier - I was unable to make Voice calls through JioFiber - and logging tickets with the call center was not working. So, I wrote directly to these ID's and there was immediate action.

Hope this helps!

Same query. Did you figure out how to change this.

Not yet. Now when I’m not sure if that can be changed at all.
But at the back of my mind, I remember configuring them when I got the set top box.

Re: Reliance Jio Fiber reviews, pros & cons

How much time does it take for them to come and install the devices etc at ones home? I had registered on their site yesterday and I just got an OTP and a person's name and cell no for reference. No one has contacted me yet. Not even sure if the broadband service is available at my place but when I registered it said that they are near to my location.

They did the installation at my home in 48 hours. You can call the mobile number shared with you. The installation process as I had experienced was quick and hassle free.

Re: Reliance Jio Fiber reviews, pros & cons

Looking for some inputs from anyone who has the postpaid Jio Fiber plan.

1. During installation I have been asked to make 6 or 12 months upfront payment resulting in free installation. I would not be required to pay any security deposit or installation charges. Is this true ?

2. What happens after 6 months ? Will I be getting a monthly billing at the end of every month or I would be again asked to make 3 to 6 month advance payment like we do in prepaid ?

3. Can I move from postpaid to prepaid if I wish to say after 6 months ? Will I have to make any additional payments if I intend to do so ?

I have asked couple of Jio reps and each has his own version so wanted to confirm with the members.

If I go for prepaid I will have to pay 1K as installation charges and another 500 Rs as security deposit provided I do not go for the setup box. My primary requirement is only internet and not TV as I have a smart TV.

For point 1: In April of 2022 this plan was given to me for 3 months of advance payment and the installation was free.

Point 2: Monthly billing on 1st, 11th or 21st cycle. There's an issue with monthly billing, the bill is for -1 month instead of the current month so as of now you are paying like pre-paid instead of postpaid. This was confirmed by call centre employee who stated it's a known issue to the tech team. I just paid in advance for sep-oct month but the bill was for Aug-sep, despite connection being postpaid.

Point 3: Postpaid to Pre-paid transfer cannot be done, i was insisting due to the above billing issue but they said it's not possible

Have you tried not paying for a month and see what happens because in effect you are paying advance more like prepaid.

The reason I am asking is that I frequently travel and hoping that if for a specific time period I do not recharge will the internet be just disconnected and then when I recharge the internet is back more like a prepaid. I am going for a postpaid option as I would not be required to pay installation charges and also security deposit as it is a pain to get the refund.

Why would you consider post paid over prepaid? I have jio prepaid for more than three years. It never failed (touchwood) and payment is no hassle at all. You can change plan at will. You can recharge whenever needed or not needed.

Overall I don't see what is the benefit gong for postpaid.

As I mentioned above. I am more of a nomad at the moment. In my hometown I have a jio fiber prepaid. Just to prevent myself from blocking close to 2.5 to 3 k with reliance looking for postpaid option. Also if you have to shift your connection you will be again required to pay the full amount and fight with reliance to get your security deposit unlike airtel where they shift your connection without any cost (at least this is what I am aware of)

Eagerly waiting for 5G and hoping that there is better consistency in terms of internet speed and hopefully it would be my go to solution unlike 4G which is very inconsistent.

I just finished the initial 3 months which i paid the advance for so this was my first postpaid renewal. Will try the above for my next recharge (but I'm sure they'll charge me prorated which they already did to bring my billing cycle from 2nd to 11th)
I'm surprised such a huge corporate can mess up billing cycles and invoices, either that or i was lied to.

When I inquired with the Sales Rep he did mention that the so-called Post-Paid plan is just a gimmick, and it is actually prepaid as reliance takes advance payment. So with you mentioning the billing cycle at least this statement of his is true.

The other statement he made was if you do not make advance payment, they stop the connection and again restart it from the day you make payment as per the billing cycle. So this is what is left to be confirmed.

Re: Reliance Jio Fiber reviews, pros & cons

It's a retarded system frankly. After the first payment of 3-6-12 months you go to a monthly cycle and in between there is an adjustment payment of a few days usage to get to the closest "slot"

Re: Reliance Jio Fiber reviews, pros & cons

Hey guys I have a problem regarding jio fiber. It has been an awful experience with even getting a connection as our server box is full and a whole lot of things combined with that. I want to know whether someone here on the forum works at Jio so I can get some things clarified. Thanks in advance.

Re: Reliance Jio Fiber reviews, pros & cons

Does the JioFiber need any device to be installed on the terrace? I understand the AirFiber does but does the regular fiber connection need access to the terrrace etc?.
