Surprised nobody mentioned hires radio. Here's a free-to-air example from Vancouver. Pretty eclectic stuff if you're into that kind of music.

Enjoy.

Spotify since December. Was on Gaana however realised that they are not coming up with new tracks instantly. Had been using Gaana since 2016.

I've been with Apple Music for a couple of years now, starting with the student plan to save some cash. Recently, I upgraded to Apple One Family. It's handy because now three more folks in my family can use it. Plus, it comes with 200GB of cloud storage, which gives me some peace of mind in case my phone goes kaput. There's also a TV subscription bundled in, though I don't really use it much. The best part for me is how seamlessly it works with CarPlay - makes selecting songs while driving a breeze.

Re: The beat goes on | Comparing music streaming platforms

If you are not concerned about audio quality and mainly concerned about the collection, Apple Music or Spotify should do the job. I have seen the audio quality to be absolute junk in all of these.

If you are introduced to hi-res audio and if you are like me who cannot go back to the junk quality you were once fan of, then next is for you.

Tidal/Qobuz - Best hi-res audio catalogue out there. The quality is 4 times better than any of the services mentioned above. This has audio in the format FLAC and it is compatible with the hi-res audio codec used by mainstream hi-res headphone makers.

Apple Lossless - Similar quality, but has the limitation of able to use a wireless headset. If you are a wired headset user, this might work. Apple is 10 years behind on audio and I have found sound quality sub-par on their headphones compared to their peers.
