Re: Whats the Best way to transport a car or bike?

I am also in a situation where I have to move a car from Pune to Gurugram. I was thinking about contracting Agarwal Packers.

Do you have any idea about their services? I have used Agarwal for home move earlier and found them reliable for that.

I just a little skeptical about shipping car.

Re: Whats the Best way to transport a car or bike?

I feel transporting car is a hit or miss even with a reputed transport brand. There are probably so many variations of agarwal and other reputed brands that one can never be sure. I personally feel best thing to do is do a self drive, the road conditions are generally good across the country now. If self drive is not an option then renting a driver for the same is a better option as well.

You, Sir, have a flair with writing! Thoroughly enjoyed reading the three parts of your used Hexa experience, although I understand there is no enjoyment for you to go through all these tribulations!

He also informed that the truck being a new one is in the warranty period, and that they cannot get it repaired from any roadside garage and that only Tata’s authorized service centre’s deputed personnel can attend for carrying out the repair works, else the warranty will become void.

The shared pics are attached here.

End of Part 3 of 4 in series

Hi Sir,

Been following your posts and you have a way with words that keeps the reader engaged. I hope you managed to get the transmission rectified. The Hexa is a wonderful machine and I wish you loads of happy kilometres.

Also I couldn’t help but notice, the transporter told you that the truck was delayed due to multiple snags and only Tata could work on it as it was under warranty. But the picture of the truck he has shared with you is a Mahindra , he managed to hide the number plate but missed the big Mahindra one badge on the cab door.

Eagerly waiting for part 4.

Re: Whats the Best way to transport a car or bike?

Its best to hide a GPS tracking device in the vehicle, this i feel is the best way to avoid anxiety.

In your case you had no choice but to transport the car due to transmission issues, but if car was good it would have been a better choice to hire a known driver along with you for the long drive.

Re: Whats the Best way to transport a car or bike?

I shouldn't say it but I laughed out loud during various points in your write up. Even though you're writing out your ordeal, you found great ways to mix it in with humor. I hope that you manage/managed to fix the car fully. Second hand markets can never not be dodgy for me due to instances like these.
