Prathidhwani, TVM Technopark employees' forum has opened a collection point @ Technopark club house. They accept supplies from general public also. I am not a member, just for info. The district administration is also running a collection center in SMV School, TVM.

Prathidhwani is now officially authorized by the District Administration to start a *Flood Relief Collection Camp*, which is now opened at Technopark club. We would request every companies, groups and individuals in technopark to make generous donation as per the below urgent requirements:
1. Baby food, Diapers, Kids dress and under garments (we accept only *new* ones)
2. Ladies nighties/wears, under garments sanitary napkins(we accept only *new* ones)
3. Gents wears/ lungi, Towels, under garments , adult diapers(we accept only *new* ones)
4. Rice, sugar, salt, pulses, atta, rava, broken rice, daal etc
5. Biscuits (except cream biscuits), Rusk
6. Toothbrush, paste (small size preferred), soaps (washing /bathing) etc
7. Tea powder, coffee powder
8. Candles, lighters / match sticks
9. Sweaters, woolen caps, blankets/bedsheets, sleeping mats
10. Mosquito repellents
11. Drinking water
12. Dettol, anti fungal creams, ORS, bleaching powder, anti inflammatory creams
13. Reusable plates and glasses
14. Fully charged power banks Please note that only new things will be accepted, except power banks

Got an audio clip in malayalam stating that the need of the hour in most relief camps now is clothes and basic toiletaries like soap & toothpaste and not food. So anyone sending supplies, keep this in mind.

Along with food. Food is in shortage in most relief camps due to the sheer number of people getting admitted.

Bubble wrap, cardboard boxes too if you donating stuff that requires to be airdropped.

ORS, medicines, bleaching powder are required too.

Kollam and Kasaragod under yellow alert.

Heavy rains are expected and it may continue till 22 August.

A new depression that formed near Odisha coast could be the reason.

Was amazed to see the sheer number of people donating stuff at multiple camps. They had requested cooked food to be in small packs so that it could be easily distributed and can be stored for later use.

At many junctions, could see many people offering free milk/eggs etc (which are almost not available here). Proud to be living here.

In the other news - Rain has completely stopped from afternoon and also the sun is out .

Actually the report I got was that food is available while the other stuff is not.

I was at D-Mart in Ecity Bangalore today morning to buy relief materials to send by today evening truck. I saw good number of people (youngsters and families) buying relief supplies. Felt very happy about it, hope rain reduces and life is back to normal soon.

Request everyone to donate to rebuild the state.

Not saying you are wrong, buddy. Could be the situation in different relief camps. Many friends involved were reporting that food is still a shortage too.
