Do you know if this is applicable only for new subscribers, or for existing subscribers also. (Me subscriber paying substantially more!)

I also keep getting promos codes (use once I suppose) saying people I refer to, if they subscribe, will get a substantial discount. But how much it is is not mentioned.

I had subscribed to the same, some 3 months back, @ 720/year, charged at Rs.60/month. Now that's a loot ! It's one third of my local English daily subscription

I will point out 2 sources.

1. Finshots.in - Its related to economy and business. Articles are precise, quite informative and well researched. One article per day.
It`s a startup backed by Zerodha.
2. GreatgameIndia - This site is all about espionage and deep state activities around the world. Mainly India focused but covers the world too.
They have covered the Chinese hand in the COVID-19 pandemic in great detail.
They have also tried to unmask the motive behind Bill Gates Foundation`s vaccine programme.
There are quite a few articles on sabotage and snooping activities carried out against India in the past.
Few articles are startling.

Since the lockdown started I am hooked to the https://stratechery.com/. They have a sensible, non-rhetorical style of writing and have periodic long-form articles explaining in each topic in great detail with the logic and rationale for the moves by all the stakeholders.

Although, their orientation is global, yet their recent article on Jio and Tik-Tok are extremely insightful and relevant for Indian context too. Best part is that everything is free.

Great find! However, all the daily updates are not free. I do not see a particular trend but they have a subscription model and not all articles can be accessed:

Basis the feedback in this thread, I went through NY Times articles. They are definitely interesting and cover a much wider horizon besides politics. But like Ken / Economist, do they also cover a headline in depth and not restrict to just US ? The upshot section seemed interesting but I guess it is geared towards US only. Any thoughts, suggestions around what is of particular interest in NY Times?

I enjoy long-form business reads by Outlook Business . Sometime back, the articles were actually free. Now the number of free articles is restricted, but they are excellent.

I believe this one is free, give to a read. A great example of investigative journalism making sense of Patanjali's audicious take-over of Ruchi Soya.

Have read some of their long-form business articles and they are usually top-class . It loads in incognito, so no issues with paywall.
