Some of you may have seen this video before, but for those that havent here is a lesson in HOW NOT TO DRIVE.
Dubai Airport Tunnel Crashes - Google Video
These are live videos of crashes taken by the cameras inside the Dubai Airport Tunnel, which is a tunnel that connects two sides of the city through a long tunnel UNDER the airport runways (yes, the planes land on top of these tunnels though I would imagine that the point of impact for landing is not immediately above).
THe airport tunnel inaugurated early last year quickly gained infamy as the venue of many accidents. There are at least 3 forks inside the airport and people generally make up their minds as to which side to take based on the line of queued up cars on either side of the fork.
You will see a lot of irresponsible and downright dangerous driving in these videos. The crashes are spectacular. Dont miss the bloody truckie backing into the signboard at the fork and changing his mind AFTER he took the turn, either.
so its not only our cabbies who create the ruckus while driving :)
Holy crap!!!!
Seeing those mishaps as it was happening is a shock!!!
The whole thing is crazy!
most i.e. say about 80% of Gulf drivers (all nationalities) have very poor judgement, skill is almost non existant, :Shockked: dumba** driving
even though u dont have two wheelers and traffic conditions like India.
Proves one thing : No country is short is dumb drivers lol:
Ohh God !!! SO it happens outside India too....Maan, there is crap drivers everywhere...
This happened to a colleague back in 1993 in New Jersey. He had freshly come from India. One day he got drunk and decided to take his newly acquired used car for a highway spin. While trying to get out of the highway, he took the wrong exit. He realised it midway, and started reversing in the exit ramp back to the highway. That's when the cops caught him. The car was not registered yet since he didn't have NJ license. He was still waiting for drvier's license road test.
He got arrested, and later deported within a week. Not sure whether he stayed with the company.
Hahaha reminds me of driving in NCR for a day!!! there another video like this from Russia, careless drivers speeding and crashing in a tunnel.
wats the speed limit in the tunnel?
last time i was in dubai, we got passed by a cayenne when doing about 140kmph... the cayenne passed us ON THE DESERT SAND beside the road!!!!!!!!
Khaleej times...steer must have seen this.A full page print with the caption as "you could have killed someone"
There were six pictures on the page all taken by the signal cams and radars. The last two pics show a jag and an X5..with the jags speed printed as 204kmph and the X5s at 214kmph.
That too is nothing...sitting in a hyundai Galloper (suv based on the pajero)with dad doing about 160 landcruisers would pass us and we wud be literally pushed off the road.
An uncle did Dubai-Salala(999km)in 8 hours flat in the 500 sel;averaging at around 210
Yup!Things do get crazy in dubai...
reminds me of some of my friends who drive that way in GTA & NFS games.
like rjstyle said - No country is short of dumb drivers!!
The best one is the guy trying to squeeze between two cars .... ;-)

I have seen this Russian Video. A friend did research and gave me this link. The reason is not reckless driving but something else. I dont know what is the truth.

Traffic offense??? Drunk driving is a criminal offense in USA. In many US states your car will be instantly impounded and auctioned off, and your license cancelled. In case of foreigners, deportation is possible. And this dude was driving drunk, without license nor registration while committing a serious traffic offense by driving backward in the exit ramp. You better digest it.:)
