Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

Just now noticed the message, shared in the WA Group. Very sad to know that Behram sir is no more.
I wish to highlight one of his fantastic leadership message.
"We must always raise the bar because: If you are seeking a plateau, you can relax. But that's the thing. Its not a set of goals because goals mean that there is a finish line and actually there is no finish line.
Doing the task - doing the task better - doing the task the best become one and the same thing. This is what makes me come to work everyday. In the end, there is no end."
A real loss to the knowledge seekers. May his soul rest in peace.

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

Rest in peace! We are going to miss his unique posting style as much as the treasure trove of automobile knowledge.

People sometimes go beyond the usual sphere of influence and make a much bigger community their family. I am sure we all will feel the loss of a wise and old family member.

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

The gent was so approachable privately and publicly to novices as well as veterans. His solutions and suggestions will be definitely missed by many. He will leave a huge void in the forum. May his soul rest in peace.

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

Shocking, the first thing I got to know this morning.

A terrible loss for the entire community, heartfelt condolences to the family.

Always helpful, memory of 10 elephants, I still remember my meeting with him at his house in Pune, as always the reason can only be Jeeps.

He drove mine in a crazy thundershower at 830pm and my wipers were not working.

All for only one thing, just to help me understand my jeep better and of course the sheer joy he got out of driving a Jeep.

Words will never be enough, RIP Sir, you will be missed.

Regards,
Salil

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

I was lucky to meet him twice.
First was the Fiat Mumbai club meet at Bandra organized by Cyrus.

Then once again, around 5 years ago. I wanted to sell my Padmini and he wanted to have a look, as he was interested in buying it.

He was a thorough gentleman who offered me extremely honest advice.
He told me he can offer me around 15k , since he will only be using my car for parts and not restoring it.

He advised me to check with scrap dealers and told me to sell it off in scrap if I get better deal.

I sold it off to scrap eventually for 25k and was in touch with him for some time after that.

The second meet being a personal one, I really enjoyed chatting with him for 15-20 minutes that we met. In fact we talked a lot about Nano during this meeting, as I had just bought a new Nano that time.

Salute to you sir.

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

This is extremely sad to know.

I will cherish fond memories of times spent with him in M&M. His love for automobiles in general was unique and infinite. Learnt so much from him!

Wish his family patience at this testing time.

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

Just saw the message and this is shocking to hear.

I had met BD a couple of times at M&M for some feedback on my Scorpio and he was a wonderful person, very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and frank.

May his soul rest in peace and God be with his family.
