Hello Team,
I came across a website which calculates/predicts your reaction time based on a simple and interactive game. Basically you start driving and when you see the stop sign, you press any key or click/tap the screen. I found it to be kind of interesting.
Here is the link:
Reaction Time Test
Please take the test at least 3 times to get the average value. My values were between 300 - 350 ms.
I don't think it has anything to do with driving reaction time - because you are expecting that hand to come up on your screen after a few seconds. Driving reaction time has everything to do with your action when something unexpected happens.
This is good practise for "Fastest Fingers First" tryouts of Kaun Banega Crorepati though.
Agree, this no where a true test - Look what I got.
While driving we are in a different frame of mind surely. This can't be compared with that.
This reaction test is apt when a bird appears right in front of your windscreen from across and you bend down your head thinking it will hit you right on your face :).
For all the other real life situations, your judgemental experience in driving is what helps you. Not to forget defensive and predictive driving techniques.
Does seem to be a basic indicator of reflexes..although race tracks / aircraft pilots would need low scores..
They think I'm out of this planet too..:)
This test is very insulting to older people. :)
As noted by many, this doesn't really test the real reaction time. It tests your skills as a one person shooter gamer. It simply doesn't translate to driver reaction time when something happens out of the blue.
I agree with fellow bhpians, this is just for fun and is no way relates to your ability to react in real life scenarios, Look what I got.
Guys, 451 millisecs average of 5 tries. That makes me a 46 year old. Searchingheaven point me to a link that will get the grey hair back too by 10 years. :D
I got progressively younger on each attempt. Cant ask for a better start for the day :)
Am in my 20s with the keyboard and 40s with the mouse. Hence I like the keyboard.
And with practice...
Now, beat that!
