In addition to the 747 my favourites amongst he jets are the B707. I just love that wing planform. It was superlative for its era and that's why with new CFM engines the military ones are still in service 65 years after the prototype flew. The most beautiful jet airliner in my eyes was the Vickers VC10. Sadly it was not a commercial success though it was a technical one. |

Of course, the coolest thing with the 707 is that it is the only passenger jet that did a full barrel role. All jets are quite capable of this manoeuvre, but only the 707 has actually done it! |

Thank you for sharing the film. First time I've seen it. The incident of course is famous in aviation circles. |

I had first seen this barrel roll of Boeing 707 in Discovery Channel as part of Great Planes documentary in 1990s. In 1950s Douglas was far bigger than Boeing and everyone expected Douglas to bring first Jetliner to market but Boeing gamble paid off. Does anyone have DC 8 model? What is average cost of these models? |

Guys a new addition to the fleet this evening. I used to have a Air France Concorde which sadly got misplaced in some office shifting 8 years back. This time in BOAC colours. I don't if the Concorde prototypes flew in BOAC colors before it morphed into British Airways in 1974. By the time the aircraft got into full service in ~1976 BOAC no longer existed. Aircraft registered as G-BOAC first flew in 1975 and was nominally considered the flagship of the UK fleet of Concordes. I regret never having flown in this iconic aircraft. The fares were always too high for a small entrepreneur and my economy budget! |

Looks like a very detailed 1:200 diecast model :thumbs up I was wondering why the cockpit windows are all black? Also why do model manufacturers make models in fictional airline liveries ? |

Why this A320, not your usual pick for an Indian Airline? Looks like you will have a squadron of F/A-18s soon clap: |

Sandesh Kanchan had enquired so here is the Dassault Falcon 7X. Not a new addition. It is about 4 years old. Cruise speed = Mach 0.8 at altitude or ~850 kmph Range with 8 pax = 11,000 in theory; 9000 in practice. Scale model length 17"; wingspan 19" |

I will have to build my own man cave for that first :D. A 1:72 scale CV or CVN class carrier would be huge. I will be kicked out of the house by the wife if I have something like that in the living room. Some day may be:). |
Wow!!! Thank you for sharing the pics. It is indeed a detailed beauty and a masterpiece. Modelling of antennas makes it even more attractive. |
The registration- G-BOAC probably points to a hint - that it was originally meant for BOAC, but it went into British Airways service with the same registration in its new avatar. |
