You guys make me jealous. In my ten years of work experience, I've never had a fixed workstation - always mobile seating.

That's a great battle station. The case is beautiful. Care to share the specs?

Whoa!! that'a a big padlock for the CPU kept on the floor. Looks like an old CPU not in use currently.
Lot of RAMs must have been stolen prompting the IT department to adopt this step I guess :D

Yes, that was my old system. A robust Dell machine which was replaced by an Acer workstation. I had to keep it with me till the asset was relieved from my name. The padlock system was used in all systems purchased in my organisation prior to 2010. After which newer workstations have plastic seal placed by the company.

Meanwhile, nice to see good response to the thread. Was apprehensive when I started it and even thought to delete it but nice to see members sharing their desk setups.

PS - This is my humble home workstation. Apart from being an IT guy, I am also a blogger, now a freelance photographer as well and this setup serves me well. Laptop usually lies somewhere in my bed :D

Attaching the picture of my desk, apart from the usual stuff, have kept a die-cast scale model of Triumph Daytona 675, A Mercedes-Benz Calendar, with the beauties getting changed every-month :D

My workstation... A work place close to home.

I'm a minimalist and hate clutter! There would be an iPad also which I used to take a snap.

Mine's quite messy as well. Guess my line of work warrants it.

Looks totally cool..!! Superbly set up. Hopefully it has a good surround sound system as well?

Thanks! No surround sound, I'm not that big on high end audio so a standard set of desktop speakers work for me. I do have a decent DAC and Amp setup (right next to the mouse in the first picture) and some good headphones.

This is how my desk looks. When the desktop is not in use, the keyboard and mice have a storage slot. I have a windows system for my kitchen designing software, for everything else I have my Macbook, A Nespresso machine for my personal use and a WiFi printer occupy some of the space.

Here is mine!

A fairly neat desk for someone who works in advertising. My pin board holds my organisation's quality policy, my extension list, a map of India, and other reminders for myself. The desk usually has some scraps of paper to scribble on, or a notebook, along with my bag, a water bottle, and occasionally, something snacky.

This is how my day life goes. Quite ordinary I would suppose. I don't have any bells and whistles because I am normally at the customer site.

Well...this thread has come at the right time. I'm in the process of furnishing my small office. No sea view though (sigh this is Pune) but will have a garden view.:thumbs up

Thanks.

A view of my desk. It looks like mine is the messiest of all the pics uploaded on this thread. Since this is the treasury room, we don't have cubicle concept.

The right most is my laptop, right side to my laptop is my direct line phone. The left side screens are my Bloomberg terminal along with the hotline phone. There are 2 televisions on either side of the room, running Business News channel through out the day. My other colleagues sit on my left side with similar set up. No outside view  though ample of day light from back side.
