Hi all,

I didn't know that we have a HAM radio thread also. Great going. I am licensed in 2021 and my call sign is VU3KFK (Victor Uniform Three Kilo Foxtrot Kilo). handle is "Ashok" I operate FT8 of 20m and 10m band and SSB on 20m band. See you on the air.

I didn't know that team-bhp have a HAM radio thread. Just found it. I am licensed on 2021 and my call sign in vu3kfk. Relation between HAM radio and Vehicle is not new and both go hand in hand. Field operation or mobile operation of HAM radio happens with help of vehicle and around the globe Hams have mounted their favorite radios in their vehicle to make a mobile station. Mostly SUV are preferred for their ruggedness that can carry all the equipment up in the hill to do SOTA or deep in jungle to do POTA. And SUV in a remote location helping a HAM radio station to setup global communication is almost a symbol of a great outdoor sport.

in my last post I only introduced myself, but I missed to tell about the important relations between a HAM and a vehicle. In India also we have now permission for mobile operation of HAM radio. We can see VU3UCR "HARI" in his SUV carrying his station along in different remote corners of India (his QRZ.com page have all). A SUV in a remote location helping a HAM radio station to setup global communication is a symbol of a great outdoor sport.

Re: The Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) thread

Wanted to share a video of the portable operations by a Ham VU2UCR, Hari from Bangalore. He has done extensive work on getting his ham radio gear installed on the Hilux.
