1:12, Minichamps.

The model retails at such a price nowadays that you would contemplate buying this or a 1:1.

One of the finest model from Bburago. 1:18 Ferrari 488 GTB from Signature series.

Though i have not taken time to catalogue and share my tiny collection of Scale models (Mostly the freebies with the Auto Mag subscription in the last 90s/2000s.)

I thought i would share this video from Carefection here.

I've paid 6 figures for a model, so was going to say "try me"....

Man you're right! :Shockked: That's pretty close to the price of a 1:1.

1:12 diecast of one of the greatest, most scintillating cars ever made.

The size ratio for the small scale model is much better than the price ratio, which would be more like 1:6000.

Some more from Bburago. DTM and GT racing models.

My Lamborghini Huracan with some light effects
PS: Dont miss the low beam cut out.

Subaru Imprezza WRC is my favourite.

By the way, I've a similar looking military Jeep - but it is from New Ray (a brand which i don't like much otherwise - kinsmart is the best in this range). This is perhaps New Ray's best casting - nice details, quite heavy built and has more realistic rubber tyres, including the spare wheel.

Yes, the Willys Jeep is by New ray and I agree, its one of their best die cast models. :)

Also, yes Kinsmart is a nice budget brand for that scale and their detailing and range has improved over time. It is then closely followed by RMZ, which retails for around same price.

Raging Bulls from the collection. :)
Scale - 1:18, 1:24 & 1:36
Make - Bburago, Maisto, and kinsmart

Got some decaling done over the weekend.

This one is James Hunt's 1976 Mclaren M23 (M23D, i.e., the one in which he won his only world title).

Had purchased this model second hand, and as is customary, the models do not come with tobacco livery, so added all the Marlboro decals myself (including the tiny one on James' helmet).

Model being second hand becomes a bit evident when you see some of the peeling paint work (doesn't bother me too much though).

Here too, you can see some peeling off along the edges.

The smallest decal goes on top of the driver's helmet:

The model comes with removable body work.

The removed engine cover shows some pretty nice details of the Ford Cosworth engine.

Didn't get the original box, so have to make do with this old display case.
