How did you end up buying such unique set of models. With such photos you owe us a small write-up on details of when, where and how of each purchase made, as this will add for interesting read & not to mention the visual delight.

Hi,
It is really difficult to remember from where I purchased all my collection as it has been over several years and places that range from the Belarus to Morocco and South Africa. I shall however bear in mind to give a little detailed history for each posting I make, next.

Here in India, I keep my eyes open to websites such as OLX and QUIKR. Sometimes I do across some good models, here in India. Some web links,

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Two lovely 1:43 scale models of Lamborghinis then and now.
Both Limited Editions from AutoArt.

The iconic Miura was bought a few years ago and the Countach received today.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

This is the PEUGEOT Triporteur motorcycle.

The PEUGEOT Triporteur's were made from the year 1939-1959. They were used to transport goods just after the World War. The slogan for this model was "Plus économique des moyens de livraison rapides" which means "More Economical and faster Deliveries".

The first triporteur was the TN 53 was a 2 stroke engine with the power of an equivalent PEUGEOT 4 CV car and so could take up to 100 kg load and run at a speed of 45km/hr.

More development followed with the introduction of the TN 55 model that could carry up to 150 kg load.

The scale model in the photo is size 1/10.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

This is one of the 'favourite' from my personal collection. A vehicle called the YOUTH that was used as a micro-bus.

Only 20 vehicles were made in 1965 in the erstwhile USSR and none are surviving today. Very rare to find scale model that I picked up from a small kiosk in Sakhalin islands.

A visual treat considering the 60's design ideas.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Korean Cars, Indian Roads:

All cars posted are essentially Korean cars that are seen on Indian roads. Even the Chevrolet BEAT is from the Korean stable of DAEWOO (Not many know but the CHEVROLET BEAT is sold as DAEWOO MATIZ in several markets).

- Chevrolet BEAT
- Mahindra Ssangyong REXTON
- Hyundai SONATA
- Hyundai TUCSON
