Been away for a while
This Marks my 6th Entry here. What i have here is a BMW M3 GTR STREET (E46).

Make: Kyosho
Model: BMW M3 GTR STREET (E46)
Scale : 1:18

The BMW M3 GTR was developed for racing use. In celebration of the victory in ALMS (American Le Mans Series), BMW introduced the street version. It is equipped with a V8 with an output of 380ps.

More on History

The BMW M3 GTR is a race car built in 2001. It was the first M3 to be powered by a V8 engine instead of an I6. The M3 GTR drove many victories in the American Le Mans Series. In 2003 the car won pole position at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.

Because of complains by rivals in the ALMS, claiming that BMW is violating regulations due to the fact, that no road-legal M3 exists, which is equipped by a V8, the company decided to produce ten street-legal GTRs.

Today I just have one pic, will post more pics of the same sooner

Ghost, Muslanne, Maybach 57s are competitive on 1:1 as well as 1:18 kyosho, Minichamps , Autoart

Wow!! Amar, siddvi. You guys are on a roll.
Here are a few pics from my previous buy.
Mostly British, save the Alfa.
Edit - Siddvi, I need some guidance on photographing these models.

Nice collection you have there.

I'd advise that if you want to photograph your collection then you look for three things:
1. A good high-quality camera (D-SLR preferred)
2. A good plain background (See my post with the F40, the red wall is in my bedroom)
3. A good plain, non-reflective base. (I used a white plastic table mat with a blue stool for support)

With these three things you'll have the ingredients for a delicious photo-shoot. Hope you can do that soon because the cars look good already :D

Here are some photos of my Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII in Blue from AutoArt (1:18) taken when I was a newbie at photographing Scale Models.

My latest additions to my F1 collection:

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-26 Steering Wheel; 1:4; Amalgam
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-25; Jenson Button; 1:18; Minichamps

Guys, did a phot shoot today, the camera used was a Nikkon Coolpix P80. However I could not get the camera settings right, the lighting right and finally the placement right.

I really need to learn the Basics of photography. Any way here are the pictures I took.

Thanks gods-envy. Your too got a good collection going.:thumbs up

For shooting the models here's what I do, maybe others can contribute more:
- A point & shoot digi-cam can also take decent pics(I use a Canon PowerShot SX130).
- Do it in natural or outdoor lighting for best results.
- Avoid using flash.
- Use a plain white/dark sheet for the background.
- Use macro-mode for close up shots.

@McLaren: Congrats on your new addition.
@manish: Nice pics, the model is lovely.
@Taronish: I got the same Evo, same color. Its a well detailed model.

Here's a 1:18 - Citroen Xsara WRC 2004 - Plain Body Version from AutoArt

Guys, I'm a newbie to this thread so don't bash me up if this is already covered somewhere. I am in urgent need of suggestions so I don't have the time to go through 700+ pages.

As I am not in a position to gift an Audi R8 :D to my brother, I am planning to gift the best quality scale model there is. Who are the best makers and what scale? I wouldn't mind spending extra for that one extra notch of top quality, but no insane prices, please.

You get amply detailed scale models in 1:18 scale and can choose from Auto Art, Kyosho or Minichamps.

You can get in touch with Rakhesh Mehta of Automania, Mumbai. He has the finest collection of scale models.

He has a website of the same name.

The Xsara actually looks astoundingly good without any of that advertising faff. Plain white, elegant. Good Choice!!

I am ABSOLUTELY jealous of your collection. Especially the Ferrari's. Do you have an F40 yet or not? I think its an absolute essential.

Here's one photo of my car. :)

Rakhesh Mehta's Automania has just received some new Kyosho models in 1:12 and 1:18 scale.

I have attached the list along with this post.

The rally star of yesteryear: Lancia Stratos has arrived in racing as well plane body versions.

I plan to add this car to my collection, or will it be the BMW M3?

How I wish there were no financial constraints!

Hello Everyone,

I am a newbee here..

Can anyone let me know if there is a good quality scale model of Lambretta available??

Any scale.

thanks

This is great. Any idea which 1:18 AutoArt models he has currently?
