Thanks much, the wallpaper thought has crossed my mind on numerous occasions.

Here are some more pictures of the General Lee. I'm a huge Dukes of Hazzard fan.

Started working on the 1:12 motor sports racing team set. Her are the pictures

1.) The kit

2.) After bonging the pieces together with cyano cement / glue.

3.) After Oil paint (the one used by artists). However it is taking a long time to dry :(. There is more painting to be done on them. I got the idea of oil painting from online forums but I think enamel is the best and easy. Why? Answer in my next picture

4.) The tools after enamel spray painting. I have a reason to cherish. They look glossy and have dried hard in just one day. the oil paint is still sticky after 2 weeks.

5.) I am also working on

But since this is a birthday gift from my wife Strictly no modifications. Sad as 1:12 is the best scale to mod, you will find lot of mod stuff easily :). I will add the detail tough.

Hey Manish are they available in Bangalore?

no no, I got it from eBay Hong Kong. approx 5 grand including shipping via govt. post in 10 days flat. Luckilly I did not have to pay a single penny in customs.

@RPMPKDMFF: Nice classics in your display.:thumbs up
@manish: The racing team set is interesting. Congrats on your Cooper kit too.
@Amar: The Lancia Fulvia is awesome!
@Zibby: Nice haul man. Love the lexus

Few pics of latest addition to my collection, this happened after eons, all thanks to my Auto journo friend who gifted me this:

Awesome shots :thumbs up! Bandhav. The second pic could easily pass off as the real thing.

fellas:
any pointers to a 1:12 or 1:18 scale model for the Lamborghini Aventador. I had mailed AA but they replied back stating they dont have any intentions of manufacturing one.

Thanks,
Abhishek

Bburago makes them in 1:18. In orange and black. Retail for around Rs. 1.7K. Hope this helps. Never heard that AA was planning to make them anyways! else there are brand like Amalgam for 1:8 but its very very expensive.

Me & fellow TBHPian Rosso Corsa went on chasing BMW Vision ED, which was on the sets of MI4, next day; TBHP's thread's link was shared over the world.
So here, we both got 1:64 scale model of BMW Vision ED (i8 Concept) (which cost us a BOMB :eek:), thank a lot to a fellow TBHPian who informed us regarding this & kept informing as well.
So here is the pic of it. Detailing considering its very small scale is amazing. Detailed pics will be posted soon.

@siddvi: Awesome Corvair, man - after my heart :-)
@hrishikesh: Rocking BMW !
@bandhav : Great car, superb photography !
