Model : Lamborghini Murcielago
Make : Maisto
Scale : 1:24

Beautiful, well detailed Ferrari model as well as the matt finish Audis

A couple of days back, my friend Amit who works at the local Toyota dealer gifted me a 1:31 scale model of the Toyota Etios. As we all know the Etios is Toyota's "made for India" car and a ticket into the mass market C segment, Toyota as a goodwill gesture gifts one of these models with every Etios sold. The scale model is available in all the paint options as the full scale car. and is appreciably well detailed with opening front doors.

100Euros for Hotwheels!!! Which ones did you buy?... I've bought Welly & Maisto models from between AED80-120... there are a few 'premium' lines from the 2 than are slightly higher.
Minichamps, AutoArt and Kyosho tend to be on higher end of their respective ranges that I have given, but everynow and then you can squeeze a deal in.

There was a correction there, it was a 1:43 model and not 1:64, and later i checked the online price it was just about 36 US dollars.

OMG! Both the Audis look stunning and menacing in the matt-black shade. I badly want one of each. How much did they cost you and where did you get it from?

They were real cheap, Euro 15 each.

Since Ive been gone for a while, il start of slowly.. :)

I had mentioned in my earlier post about scale model of Toyota Etios gifted to me by my friend Amit.

Attached with this post are a few images of the Etios' 1:31 scale model alongside a 1:18 scale model of a car that is one of the biggest revolutions to have taken place in the global automobile arena, a project that I was closely involved in since 2003, the Tata Nano.

The Nano and the Etios are cars developed by the respective manufacturers keeping mainly India in mind. The days are gone when we used to get left-overs like the Astra and Escort.

These cars are also one of the finest examples in frugal engineering.

Am loving that trio, especially the MB SLS AMG and the lovely Gallardo. Stunning models there!

Any one on this forum with collection of any old Indian vehicles?

Leo toys used to sell TATA trucks ( Normal Cab forward design ) and they used to come in various forms like Pickup, Container, Tanker.

I dont remember if they were scaled down versions, but they were huge and fun to play with.

I do.

I have the one one with the closed box thing on its back. It has two small doors at the rear. Red in color.

The wheel cap could be removed and I used to like the look of it without them. Even the box could be removed and the chassis used to be covered with a flat cardboard and I used keep various small animals, small idol of ganesh, decorate it and other things and mimic Ganesh Visargan floats and carnival floats on it.

I also remember carrying my chess men in the box for a ride around the house :D

Thanks for the question. That was one nostalgic high.

That etios needs to be remade. It is quite possibly rubbish. the Norev Linea is so much better in terms of quality. Sad indeed.. Anyways, more....

Here is a Rare Mitsubishi Lancer WRC with the optional lights. Very cool car.

Hi Amar, the Nano's looking lovely !
I agree, the Nano's a revolution capable of being a world beater, if made and marketed well. A Fantastic concept and design.
Hey, I didn't know YOU had a role to play in it ?? More details please:

Nice Etios too - well proportioned. Made by Norev ??

Here is my Landrover Denfeder, just landed from UK

I have noticed that use of FLASH while clicking scale model pics spoils the picture.

You get some kind of white spots on the vehicle and it feels like its dusty which is not the case.

We can see the difference in the Red Land rover pics itself.

Ok so here is more Random Pictures.

Pictures 1-4 are from the Scale Model Exhibition at Bandra.

Picture 5 is a BMW M3 DTM to Roadcar conversion. Note the Race-spec wheels and slick tyres. also note the body hugging Recaros and the race spec rollcage.

Picture 6-9 are the Custom SLS ///AMGs. The Black one has already made its way to a new home and a very very happy new owner who is a prominent fashion photographer.

Picture 10 is a very rare Carlsson CM55K in 1:18 scale from Hotworks racing. This features adjustable suspension including camber, ride height and offset adjustment. A very intricate suspension system on her. Also includes a stunning roof mechanism.

Picture 10 is a W220 S-Klasse on custom BBS rims.

Picture 11 shows a stunning pair, The Minichamps SLS and SLR roadster. Lusted after these cars for more than a year before finally pulling the trigger on them.

Pictures 12-15 shows Random pictures from the collection. And the Stig playing Guard to them.

I do. I had almost three trucks made by Leo Toys or some other company. One was a Tata with a closed box as Spitfire said, the others were an Ashok Leyland Iveco flat-bed truck and an Eicher container. They were real fun to play with.

Rightly said. That was quite a bit of nostalgia as I have also done things like what you said.
