Here's some pics of the real version of this car, It's hideous and awesome at the same time

The detailing is incredible. I've been through the history of this amazing vehicle... love the album, love the song, LOVE the car. I know each one's entitled to his/her opinion - but from my side, I don't see how this ride is even remotely hideous.

The first picture (from the HotRod mag) is of the car and owner - Clarence 'Chili' Catallo... the same image was used on the album cover.

Hello friends,
Some time back, my best friend Amit came over to have a look at the latest entrants in my collection, the Fiat 131 Abarth and Lancia Delta Integrale. Attached are some more images of the models that Amit took.

I have the Delta and now I really want the Fiat.

Maybe hideous was the wrong word to use, But i find this car too "over the top"/wild like most late 50's/early 60's custom cars, I prefer the more simple late 40's and early 50's Hot Rods.

Dear Patrons, friends & well-wishers,

This issue ends another decade of development in automobile history, the 1950s.

This decade marked an end to bulbuous, heavy-weight design, lavish use of chrome and in short, non-functional excesses.

Some great new entrants that we purchased from two stores in Mysore!

The 1932 Ford coupe is simply too detailed. Had it not been posted in this forum, it would have replicated the actual car right down to the minutest detail, and that too in 1:24 scale!

I have been able to lay my hands on the below 1:18 scale model of a 1971 Mercedes 300 SEL by Minichamps only because I saw it first time on this very forum and Rakhesh of Automania, Mumbai had a similar one for sale. This was my first Minichamps model and a fantastic one at that.

Hello Neil,
Immediately downloaded the issue and go through it. In the past posts, I have posted images of some of my models. Though nowhere close to yours, please revert with your feedback.

Friends,
Uploading some more images of my other rally / race cars,

1) White Mitsubishi Lancer is a Plane body WRC 05 (Autoart)
2) Yellow Mitsubishi is an EVO IIV (Autoart)
3) Peugeot 307 red by Maisto (one of the few good 1:18 scale models by Maisto)
4) 1997 Ford Focus rally (BBurago)
5) Alpine Renault (BBurago)
6) 1961 Jaguar E Coupe
All legends

That's an absolutely fantastic looking Mercedes there. Looks sweet and hot at the same time. I am loving it.

Just picked up a long time favorite... the '32 Ford Coupe that earned the nickname 'Little Deuce Coupe' courtesy of the 1963 Beach Boys album. The model is 1:24 scale from Danbury Mint... DM has pulled out all stops on this model, the detailing, finish and color is outstanding.

RPMPKDMFF, One heel of a machine, the detailing is to die for and that too in 1:24 scale. The plumbing and wiring details have left us spell bound. This gives me some Ideas for my next builds :)

@Dippy: The stance on the 1:12 Murcielago is mindblowing. No 1:18 has got it right. This looks like the real thing. Especially the front 3 quarters. Just absolutely amazing. Feel like I could stare at it for hours.

Hey BEEM3R

Nice to hear from you after so long. How have you been? Thanks for the comments on the Murcielago. Its my first 1:12. I agree with you on every point. The model is just mindblowing. Hats off to Autoart for the detailing on this car. Will do a proper shoot when I have the time.
