MAybe. Lets see. Autoart Wheels are a royal pain to remove. :(

Sorry for being Kebab main haddi in your conversation:D but i wanted to know hows the 1:24 models from welly and new ray. Is a Porsche 356B conv. from welly worth buy.
Actually the problem in Lko is that there isn't any shop which stocks good collectibles and 1:18 is like alien thing to them, so any online purchase options apart from toy world and dream car models.

Dont bother with the NEw Rays. The Welly models are good on the other hand.

Audi R8..................

That Spyder looks Fantastic. Does it have the optional wheels??

Cyrus and others, I have a question for you. Which is the best place to buy reasonable scale models and which make? I see your cars are really good and detailed. Kindly let me know.

Cheers

Well, Since you are in Cochin, your nearest high end model store in Bangalore. The models we have are usually more expensive than the ones you find in your big malls etc therefore more detailed. Different brands have different classes. Maisto is a popular beginner brand, and then you can progress through to the higher Autoarts and the Kyoshos. And then finally to the more exquisite Hand made ones which cost more than a Tata NAno. :D

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did get few scale models from Blore, courtesy ModelArt. Planning to get more of my fav rides.
Any reliable sites from where I can do online shopping?

I know of only one, Diecast miniature scale model Cars,Bikes,Trucks,Planes,Trains,R/C Cars,R/C Bikes,R/C Planes, battery & fuel powered R/C off-road buggies and other automobiles models available online in India at www.DreamCarModels.com which is indian. But they do not have any real variety sadly.

Bombay also has a very large variety of store you can buy from. If you ever come to bombay, remember to take some time out.

Thanks a lot for the tip. I came across this site on the thread - ToyWorld.in - Buy Toys Online Now!!!

Any personal experience on this one?

In terms of Online Purchase, India is pathetic. And the stuff that is listed online (in e-bay India, Dream Car models and Toy World etc. etc.) you get at your next door toy store (atleast in Bangalore).

Others Like the new Tamiya dealer in Delhi does not have a proper website and nor does he stocks what I call for.

Model Art in Bangalore stocks Maisto and Signature in Lower End + Auto Art and Franklin Mint in Higher end. No Welly stuff there :(, Saphire toys some times have good Welly models to Buy.

Automania in Mumbai is a good store for lot of exotic stuff from minichamps, CMC and like. But is costly at the same time also.

All these stores if you call them they will ship you the product once you deposit money to their account no.

Guess who :D ?

I have seen quite a few model cars in Oberon and even picked up a 1:24 Z8 the last time I was there. Not sure about 1:18 scale though.

In Blore you get them in all large malls & of course ModelArt.
